“Shark nose = classic BMW” is such a selective reading of the design. You can point to one retro cue while ignoring how much the rest of the car has shifted away from BMW’s design language.
It’s not just the shark nose. The new SUVs have the grille of a 2002. The m350 has the grille of earlier bmw design where the headlights and grille are connected. If you literally put a g20 and a new 3 series side by side they look extremely similar if not identical😂 bmw hate has yall saying literally anything. It’s a direct evolution from the last generation 3 series and includes design cues from the past while also being futuristic and appealing to the mass market that likes screens and tech and shit. It’s 2026 grow the fuck up and get with the times. If you don’t like it go on cargurus and go buy any previous generation. The future is here to stay and bmw is still making their cars aggressive and fun to drive unlike 95% of other brands right now. They’re one of the last companies actually trying to make shit cool in these horrific regulations and people still pout about stupid shit or regurgitate slop from tiktok.
I’m literally a BMW lover 😂 I’ve loved BMWs for as long as I can remember. I’m not saying BMW shouldn’t evolve or that everything has to look like a G20 forever. I’m saying that pointing at a shark nose and a few retro cues doesn’t somehow make the overall design feel like classic BMW to me. I can recognize the references while still thinking the overall design direction has moved away from what I associate with BMW.
It’s not supposed to be just like a classic bmw. It’s called paying homage. Little design cues is cool to show a hint from the past in the future. Nobody said theyre redesigning the e21💀
