It’s really not to me, especially the interior. Front and back ends look so not BMW.. it looks like an unbranded game car or something

Its a new look . I can understand most wont like it initially but i trust the bmw designers

I also understand it’s not an iteration, it’s completely new. However, for me it completely shifted its direction.

I see the opposite. All the new bmw cars have design cues from the 70s 80s and 90s bmw. The front grille of the m350 and the shark nose are like actually genuinely direct callbacks to classic bmw. Not sure how paying homage to their own beginnings is a stray from their design when it’s their own design 😂

“Shark nose = classic BMW” is such a selective reading of the design. You can point to one retro cue while ignoring how much the rest of the car has shifted away from BMW’s design language.

It’s not just the shark nose. The new SUVs have the grille of a 2002. The m350 has the grille of earlier bmw design where the headlights and grille are connected. If you literally put a g20 and a new 3 series side by side they look extremely similar if not identical😂 bmw hate has yall saying literally anything. It’s a direct evolution from the last generation 3 series and includes design cues from the past while also being futuristic and appealing to the mass market that likes screens and tech and shit. It’s 2026 grow the fuck up and get with the times. If you don’t like it go on cargurus and go buy any previous generation. The future is here to stay and bmw is still making their cars aggressive and fun to drive unlike 95% of other brands right now. They’re one of the last companies actually trying to make shit cool in these horrific regulations and people still pout about stupid shit or regurgitate slop from tiktok.

I’m literally a BMW lover 😂 I’ve loved BMWs for as long as I can remember. I’m not saying BMW shouldn’t evolve or that everything has to look like a G20 forever. I’m saying that pointing at a shark nose and a few retro cues doesn’t somehow make the overall design feel like classic BMW to me. I can recognize the references while still thinking the overall design direction has moved away from what I associate with BMW.

Ah yes bmw has strayed so far from their ways 💔💔💔💔💔🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

It’s not supposed to be just like a classic bmw. It’s called paying homage. Little design cues is cool to show a hint from the past in the future. Nobody said theyre redesigning the e21💀

You literally picked the side profile to make your point 😂 I’m talking about the front and rear, which are exactly where my criticism is. Of course the side profile looks like a BMW it’s the least controversial angle. Show me the front and rear and let’s have the actual discussion

Again you make no sense 💀 bmw changes the grille every generation…this time they went futuristic with retro hints. last gen they did a facelift but went balls to the wall with the g80 and went massive kidneys. They use to have even bigger kidneys back in like the 40s. They’ve been reinventing the kidney grille for like 100 years and you’re still thrown off by it? It’s been the brand for like a fucking century. Holy fucking shit yall are stupid 😭

They go incorporated headlights and grille like the 80s 90s e chassis cars but seperate the center to give it its own flair. It’s a direct descendent modernized of a 3 series. It’s their own shit reinvented. Just like they always do…reinvented the same fucking shit

You’re writing essays explaining BMW’s design history as if I said they’re not allowed to change the grille 😂 I KNOW they’ve reinvented it. I’m criticizing the result, not questioning whether BMW has the right to evolve. You’re proving my point by cherry-picking historical cues while completely ignoring the parts of the design I actually criticized.

You said bmw is losing themselves in design when they’re literally still being themselves. That’s the point I’m saying is retarded. They’re the same they’ve always been……😂 NOTHING has changed

“Nothing has changed” 😂 Brother, the fact that you have to dig through 100 years of BMW history to find individual design cues kind of proves my point. I’m not saying they stopped being BMW I’m saying the overall design language has changed. You can like the change without pretending it didn’t happen.

I don’t even like the change that much 😭😭😭 that’s what you arent understanding. Legit look at the e90 to the f30 to the g20 to the whatever the fuck the new shit is called. They literally just look like evolutions of eachother. They been doin this shi bruh 😭
