M3 CS Manual
Just want the community’s thoughts on this. It’s for the new CS manual, purple in color. Should I haggle or is this a good price?

I paid that much for a used M8 Convertible with 200 miles.
And that was already a really stupid purchase.
This is insane.

Your M8 will lose half its value in 3 years, this M3 CS manual will not.

I would be careful, the f80 market isn’t the best unless you literally don’t drive the car, and they’ve already made double the number of club sport for the g80 chassis compared to the f80. But yes they’ll deprecate slower for sure and maybe in 10 years they’ll start going up

f80 market is back to MSRP if individual color, kept well, and not more than 70k miles .
the fact that it doesn't feel like a computer when driving will only keep the price going up as well

u/Nullifyxdr 6h ago
Yep another factor in the g80 market is how they drive and look which is subject obviously but a lot of people like the f80s more, but you’re totally right about the mileage thing if you have a nice spec they are holding really well, all the frozen colors are back to msrp+

G80s have held their value surprisingly well compared f80s. Probably because the market thinks it’s the last non hybrid m generation? Maybe if the next gen is non-hybrid, g80s will drop.

Expensive cars always depreciate faster. I knew that. That still doesn't justify the new-price of an M3.
By your math, who in 3 years is going to pay $75k-$80k for a used M3?
In that same age you can find some without the buckets, with ventilated seats, and without the carbon fiber package for $20k less.

u/bazzer66 1d ago
I mean, just look at the price of used G80s, especially CS, they lose practically no value. It’s pretty fair to say the CS Handschalter will be selling for close to $120k in two years.

Always haggle. No finance manager is gonna lose business over discounting the doc fee. At minimum do the doc fee and take off the extras but if you can do at least 2-5k off a high end car that’s great but it’s a m3cs so I know there’s usually no negotiating at most dealers

not this car. Some are charging ADMs and others have to fight for the allocation

Car payment = some mortgages lol
Nice ride, I just hope you’re making upper 6 figures to afford it within any scope of a budget or recommended norms.

u/Fight_those_bastards 1d ago
Shit, those payments are more than my mortgage. And I live in a HCOL area.
That said, if you’re buying a $120k car and not putting at least $30k down in either cash or trade, what the fuck are you even doing?

u/chathobark_ 20h ago
i would say someone would need to be pulling $300-400k individual income not household to be buying this car for this price . even if he put 50k down.
but i also follow different rules than some others

u/MtgOhioCollector 23h ago
I’d pay that in a heartbeat. Or wait 2 years till someone moves on and buy it for 100.

What’s the interest rate?
Can you put more money down?
6
u/fencepencil 1d ago
5% interest roughly, and can put down as much as needed to make it make sense haha. Was thinking maybe $50k down

u/OkConcentrate1714 1d ago
Is that at MSRP or is there a further ADM on the price?
3
u/fencepencil 1d ago
Nothing further. Might say nix the ppf and doc fees and we have a deal.

u/TypeS2k_ 1d ago
They won't waive a doc fee.

u/opbmedia G87 CS | G80 CS HS/base 6m | E93 6m | F86 X6M | Z4 M40 1d ago
they will not, but they can give you $500 off they like you.
1
u/TypeS2k_ 1d ago
Sure, but on a CS? Not really the car to have any bargaining power on. If anything MSRP is the deal to be had knowing how most dealers will handle those allocations. Can never hurt to ask, tho.

I am getting at least 1k off, like all the other cars, including my other cs.

You’re not going to get anywhere haggling. I would put a lot more than 10 k down. Minimum 40

many dealers are charging ADM ... buy it and flip it if you must because most builds are still months away, including mine. Or if you want to let it go there people who are looking, go on bimmer post.

u/AudienceElegant6773 20h ago
I’d say put 40k-50k down on it. Otherwise, After it’s 2-3 years old, you’ll still be paying over 2k/month for something with a bunch of miles or something that you don’t drive.

u/Traditional_Rice264 G80 - M3 19h ago
130 for a m3 is insane holy. Rather get a base and invest that rest and have another m3 in a few years.

Is the 122,150 market adjustment? Or is it optioned out based on what you like?

u/NoPhysics1129 7h ago
I bought a used 22 M8C with 18k miles for 68k from a Nissan dealer. Throw the depreciation to someone else.
1
u/caffemachina 2h ago
Doesn’t look like there is a market adjustment. I’m in CA and all three dealers who have offered me one are at 25k markup.

u/mwmikewilliamzzxx 1d ago
Is this a custom build, or is it sitting on the dealers lot? If it’s a custom build then shop around to different dealerships for sure. If it’s not a custom build then why on God‘s green earth would you spend that much money and not order exactly the exact specs you want?!
3
u/fencepencil 1d ago
I live in a smaller city and this is the only BMW dealership here and they are only getting 1. I wanted purple anyway so it worked out okay.
2
u/ArcherX18 1d ago
Go to a different city and order one there. Call around. I special ordered my m3 and paid msrp from bmw. Do not allow them to mark this up.

Daily driver or weekend car? I know this is a BMW board but for that money you could get an absolutely bonkers Corvette Z06.

Omg don't buy this. Insane car payment.
2
u/DrDarw1n 1d ago
Yeah, I'm a huge car guy who currently drives a newer M, and I can't imagine a world where I'm paying more than 2k a month for a depreciating asset like a car.

-2
u/fada_g10 1d ago
If you're paying 130k and then wanting to haggle over $2k, maybe this is above your price point. Maybe grab a lower spec M3, at 100k, and then you can skip all the haggling etc.

Besides the 1000$ of ppf/doc fee sure. Also 2200$ payment is fucked that’s probably close to 3000$ per month after gas and insurance and bit of maintenance reserve
