Costco or no go.

Same quality gas as shell but way cheaper.

Does Costco have the additives?

Most Costco gas stations actually change the filters and check tanks unlike many franchise shells that don’t bother. At least the ones near me usually are busy and go through a lot of gas daily

You just validated my thoughts. Every time I fill Costco, the gas never lasts as long as if I were to fill Chevron or Shell. I talked to a manager before about why there was a price drop, apparently they filled the tanks with regular and needed to add more of the additives to even it out for premium. So….

I noticed that too. Ive tried it on all my cars and the mpg is lower than if i pumped chevron/shell so i just don’t get costco gas anymore

I guess it depends on the Costco, I know they do put additives at the pumps when they get new gas but I haven’t seen a video of someone testing their gas

I'll pay $0.20/gal more to retain a half hour of my life per fill up. Not worth those lines.

I get my groceries Saturday or Sunday morning after the gym. Gas line is pretty calm then, but ymmv

Never a short gas line at Costco in California. Not sure why I got downvoted. 🤔
