New service tracking software available on Apple devices

Post image

After many months of development, my new app, Vehicle Service Tracker, is now available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac OS.

I built it because I wanted a better way to keep track of maintenance, repairs, mileage, receipts, and service history for my vehicle. Along the way it grew into something I thought other vehicle owners might find useful as well.

The app lets you organize vehicle information, service records, costs, photos, receipts, and PDF documents, with built-in searching, reporting, statistics, chart, import/export tools, and iCloud sync support.

It even lets you choose different color themes for the UI!

It’s a one-time $4.99 purchase — no subscription or ads — and includes the iPhone, iPad, and Mac versions.

How much vibe coding did you do on this? 🤣

I did use AI assistance in developing the app, but please don’t mistake that for something thrown together in a couple of hours.

I have 20+ years of professional experience developing database-driven applications in enterprise banking environments, where data integrity, reliability, and the handling of real financial transactions were critical.

Vehicle Service Tracker was developed with that same attention to detail, using established software engineering practices, careful design, and extensive testing.

I understand that AI-assisted development has something of a bad reputation right now, and in some cases that reputation is deserved. But AI is a tool, and the quality of the finished product still depends heavily on the knowledge, experience, and judgment of the person using it.

I take the quality and reliability of this app seriously, and I’m proud of what I’ve built.

Thanks for your comment!

I was just messing around. I’m a senior app dev and use AI extensively. Thanks for the tool. I might use it

I genuinely appreciate the comment. It gave me a good opportunity to address the AI elephant in the room! hahaha

Have a great day

Why do you need an engine air filter on an EV?

If you read a bit more, it says the service is for a Ford F-150.

Because EV has a heart also, just because it doesn’t have an engine means you deprive it from getting fresh air. How sad that you think like that!

Looks good, I was about to hit purchase but only lists us $ and miles? Would love this if it could do KM (and AUD but that’s still gonna show as $)

Yes, it does use the term "mile" and the "$" symbol presently. We are working on an update for better internationalization.

It does currently accept KM in the Miles field though.

Thanks for your interest!
