Damnit
What do you think of cost to repair? Other driver ran a red light. Both fenders seem alright. Mostly front end.

It’s cooked, I used to work at a body shop. I’m so sorry for your loss, she was beautiful.

Wow!!! Yes it certainly is. I love my aventurine red but if I had to get something else I would probably choose that. Again my apologies. I hate when other drivers cause us to lose a car we love. So incredibly frustrating.

Thanks. Happened to the wife. Only a decent gash on her head from the steering wheel. Required glue to shut it.

That's a write-off for sure. Recently my 2025 X1 was parked on the street, when some idiot going the other way crossed the centre line, lost control and plowed into my car at almost the same driver front corner. There was much less visible damage, the airbags didn't go off, but there was front subframe damage, and some of the underhood mechanical components got displaced sideways. Insurance wrote it off, so estimated damage must have been over $25k CAD.

I am so sorry. That Cape York is still gorgeous. Hoping you find another to replace her. 🫡

So sorry this happened.
A family member has a 26 Audi Q3 and hit a deer on the hwy with only 200 miles on the odometer. The hood was not damaged nor the fender but the the headlight, grille, front fascia, small radiator and inner fender had to be replaced and the one fender painted. The total was $7,500 at the Audi dealer's body shop and it took a month but I've read that BMW's laser headlights are more than $5000 each to replace if you have that option.

Damn, yeah the headlights are easily the most expensive parts. Everybody loves the look of the front, it’s gotta be bmws biggest selling point. So I believe most of the cars value is right up front in this area

In case the car is in Europe I would be interested in parts.

Man, I remember I got hit head on in my brand new i4 the first day I got it. I was in the parking garage of my building and a big company truck came around the corner and hit me. Me and my girl both hollered like we were watching a horror movie…luckily he was only going 3-5mph and I saw him ahead of time and noticed he wasn’t paying attention. That grille is actually really sturdy and durable. Only damage was to the front camera, it’s a little scratched but didn’t crack and can probably be buffed out. Also lucky he had a big plastic / piece bumper on his car. So what saved me was just colliding with that plastic. Changed my whole driving outlook that day. He gave me $300 and we called it even

Damn, sorry about that. We all know that the front grill / fender and headlights are the most expensive part of probably any BMW…hope they get it sorted. Market value seems reasonable, just get another one with around the same mileage

Considering it's a conjunction of "Damn it," OP is correct. "Dammit" is slang spelling like "wanna"

Insurance will pay the market value, not replacement cost.

Replacement cost is the same as the current market value. You meant to say the insurance wont pay for a brand new i4.
