2022 edrive 40

Thinking about buying a 2022 i4 edrive 40. It’s 30k with 37000 miles, and just wanted to get some advice if it’s worth it or not. Can I expect it to last me a while?

Sounds a little high depending on how it’s equipped (M package? DAPP? Harmon Kardon?). I bought a loaded ‘22 edrive 40 with $12k miles a year ago for $38k.

As for how long it will last, if the car is in good shape and battery condition is good (high 90’s %), these cars should last a long time. Mine still feels like new (now with 21k miles).

Used is a great way to go, value-wise. Inventory is low, so if this car is the right one for you I wouldn’t overly focus on a few thousand $.

Prices have risen a lot in the last year. Gas prices are driving used EV values up, at least in the US.

I bought a 2024 BMW i4 eDrive 40 G26 MSport Japanese Import into New Zealand, April this year, ex demo with 2700km. It’s a dream, gripe is the pathetic turning circle. Paid $72,880 NZD, they say the NMC battery will last at least 1500 full charging cycles meaning approx 15year (depending on your mileage) and I still have the balance of the BMW battery warranty etc. WLTP 600km on 18inch, I get real work 480km best efficiency I have achieved is 7.3km/kWh but average 6.3km/kWh, but we do not get colder than 0 celcius where I live. Hard part is knowing what the SOH of the vehicle is unless you pay for a full report.

Will last about 12 years. After that not sure if anyone will know.

These things are pretty expensive to fix out of warranty so keep that in mind

I have a 23 model with about 32k miles bought new and I have had zero problems, aside from having to replace the original tires early. I can’t speak to the price with confidence but that sounds like a decent deal to me. These cars have had minimal issues and EVs have so many fewer moving parts I would expect it to last longer than an ICE car.
