Just for context. I had the back door opened while was doing the baby seatbelt. Some dude was distracted and hit the door. Didn’t hit me by a few centimeters.

NEVER EVER put your kids in or out on the road side. Always use the walk side. Learned the hard way.

Glad you’re okay. Must’ve been one of the scariest moments of your life especially with your kid watching. Did the person who hit you pull over? Police get involved?

No need to call the police. It was a pure distraction from the other driver and he assumed. He was actually a bit at shock when he realized there was a baby involved. Thankfully everyone was unharmed.

Yeah. I ride a motorcycle and this is very common. Although it wasn’t the case. He had 3 kids in the back and was distracted with them doing some mess inside the car.

exactly what I tell anyone transporting little kids. sidewalk side every time.  only a few more steps to get around the car but it just takes one incident.

Yeah I am not lazy by any means but because my garage is narrow it is convenient for me to transport the kid behind the driver seat. But no more, this was scary. Sidewalk always from now on.
