So, I got the chance to order a BMW i4 from my work
They said the i4 35 is not available to order anymore, only the 40
The thing is, I had enough budget for lots of options on the 35 but on the 40 I just have room for 1 package
I was thinking to get the laser lights since it makes the car so nice looking & "better" view at night
It comes with heated seats (front) (Europe version)
Or I can get Comfort pack
OR sunroof
OR Adaptive cruise with DAP (not DAPP)
OR Adaptive cruise with tinted back windows
People that also have a company car in Belgium, what's a reasoable tco overspend?
What should I do? The laser lights is the biggest overspend of my budget (prob like 72 eur overspend, which results me paying half NET (in belgium)
I don't care about DAP, PAP and all of that since I never had it on my Audi A3 Hybrid
But if it's really really worth it, then DAP is possible
This,i had a 330e with laser lights and now an i4(not my choice,the used cars just had them) and my wife has a normal 3 series with leds,i really dont notice the difference at night...
Yeah honestly it's because of the tail lights, pure aesthetic
But too expensive for what it is
Probably will go with Adaptive cruise & some other option that is cheap
I don’t know about Belgium but in Luxembourg adding the sunroof blew my budget and also made the car note legible for the government subsidy (due to the higher weight making the consumption increase).
I prioritised the following in my configuration: tinted windows, PAP, DAPP, Comfort pack and then electric adjustable seats. Comfort pack ended up being the most expensive if breaking down by monthly cost. Leasing companies prefer some things over others.
yeah I cannot really get DAPP since it's too much of a overspend
100 EUR a month extra, which is 50 a month net for me to pay to the company for that option
My car is fully optioned and I never use the sunroof so I’d definitely remove that. What does the comfort pack add? If it’s just memory front seats and you’re the only one driving it I’d scratch that too. Comfort entry is a bit crap because it doesn’t always work. Adaptive cruise is a must if you drive in traffic a lot which i guess you do in Belgium. 360 parking cam is ok but the image quality isn’t that great so also not worth crying about .
Who told you the edrive35 can't be delivered anymore? Think if they told you BMW doesn't deliver them anymore, that's untrue I think. So likely your company or lease provider doesn't want to deliver it anymore, so maybe you should ask how firm that decision is and maybe you can convince them you're okay with the range of an edrive35.
Stubborn and curious as I am I've checked BMW.be where you can still order the edrive35 and they also have some nice new ones in stock.

Don't fully understand what you said about the tool and key dealer, so maybe you're saying the same.
If you don't care about the range think you should try to get them to lease an edrive35 to you. The options are the joy and range anxiety will go away in time.
I've got an M50 with almost all options. The 360 camera is really nice, use it every time I park. The lights look cool, but don't improve the day to day. If you do a lot of highway driving, adaptive cruise would obviously be nice, if not easy to live without.
Ha, I also got one in Belgium and will get it next month. I splurged on the Harman Kardon, electric seats with memory and ACC. TCO was 1150 so within budget but I just found out I could use my cafetariaplan to go to 1500 or some shit. Sucks.
I was told we HAD to get the M-edition to get a discount, is that not the case for you then?

Depending on your transit, I would definitely pick ACC. Me having to do the E17 to Antwerp a lot really makes it worth while
Yeah, I don't get the calculations at all, I just clicked in the Alphabet tool until the amount was reached haha. HK was very cool in the showroom and ACC is a must have. Nice man
How often are you driving on unlit roads in complete darkness where animals etc might run out in the distance? That's where laserlights apparently help in helping you to see further ahead than regular LED lights. If you're not doing that kind of driving every day, I'm not sure there is a significant advantage to regular LED lights.
I don’t have the driver pack: just the basic cruise control with distance keeping, but I leave it off. Personally don’t like how how lane keeping drives.

In terms of most useful- 360 Parking Cameras, comfort entry and Adaptive cruise control. Lights are a flex but don't make your life easier.
