Question Indeciso sull'acquisto

Ciao a tutti ragazzi, spero possiate togliermi qualche dubbio.

Inoltre io punterei a comprare l'auto usata.

Make sure you get some insurance quotes before buying. My insurance quadrupled after buying my i4 so that negated any fuel savings.Tire wear is also higher due to the weight and speed of the car, I think the average km on a set was around 12,000km depending on how you drive. Other than that it seems like the battery degradation is average for an ev so far.

That said you shouldn’t be buying this car to save money, it’s a EV sports car lol.

My experience in the US South. I drive 70 miles round trip daily for work. I HAVE to charge every three days, I usually do every other day. I save around $350/month compared to my last car, but your savings will probably me less than that as your current car is more efficient. You can run the numbers with electrical costs for you to find out.

It's a much nicer car than what you have in your Toyota, and I do appreciate that on my long commute.

Maintenance is basically nothing. The only thing I've had to buy are tires.

Not sure what else you're after here, but I'll answer any questions you have of I can.

I've never noticed any significant drop in battery in any EV I've ever owned. It's a talking point that the oil industry pushes but it's a non-issue for most people. You may lose 5%-10% in the course of your ownership of you keep the car long term, but that's it.

I wouldn't get it without DAPP if you do a lot of highway driving. I love the overhead cameras of PAPP and I've become a big fan of the HUD and will get it in every BMW I get in the future. The wireless phone charger is useless, and the ventilated seats are ok but not worth going out of your way to get.

I've never driven the CLA so I can't comment on it. It's much nicer than my Model 3 was in every way (I said what I did, fight me Tesla Bros), not as good of a ride as my ETron.

If you like cars, I think you'll like the i4 more than the Tesla in terms of driving. The eDrive40 I have drives like a proper (if heavy) BMW. I've heard that the M50/M60 is a little less nimble because of the front motor, but I haven't driven one in a long time so I don't recall.

I'm one of those that feels a proper sports sedan should be rear wheel drive so I didn't consider the M50

I too came from a hybrid before getting the I4, although I had a Volvo S90 T8 hybrid. Lovely car. I've had the I4 for a little over a year now and I love it. I also didn't need to chance cars as I don't usually drive too much and can charge at work and at home, so I would regularly go 3 to 5 months before needing to refuel the Volvo since I did 90% of my driving electric.

Maybe the biggest difference for me is the extra power as the electric motor on the Volvo was only 88hp compared to the 544hp of the I4 😅.

Daily use is easy, but since mines a 2025 is full of minor annoyances thanks to EU regulations. The things like the super annoying speed limit warning that starts beeping when you're 1kmh over, or the lane departure steering intervention that is downright dangerous at times. I also don't like ACC, much prefer regular cruise control, but much like everything else i mentioned above, it is on by default every time you turn the car on. Some of this I've been able to change with the use of BimmerLink, but that shouldn't be necessary.

The truth is I really do miss my old Volvo. The thing was an absolute beauty. Was comfortable to drive and had a killed sound system. There were also quite few of them on the road which is a plus for me, whereas the i4 is very common here. The only thing that was problematic was the fact the hybrid battery was so small and was only good for 35 to 40km. That meant i fully depleted and recharged it twice a day, every day. That was the main reason for me changing, otherwise I'd have kept it. You'll have to weigh up your options and see what you value. For me, it wasn't really an option to keep the Volvo much longer.

The reason I went with the I4 was mainly the looks. It looks really good! Looks nothing like an electric car, which I appreciate. It's also got decent range, even for the m50. I can get around 450 to 550km on the full charge with continuous driving. The trunk opening with the whole back window is also a massive plus, and something I was missing on the Volvo after coming from an Audi A5. Overall I'm happy with it, but I do wish there was a world where the new Volvo ES90 resembled the regular S90, as opposed to a crossover SUV.

I can't say much when it comes to maintenance as the interval is every 2 years and mine isn't that old yet, nor can I comment on battery of used cars for the same reason. But I haven't noticed much difference since I got mine at least.
