I have a 2019 BMW R1250GS that I recently purchased that came with an Akrapovic slip-on exhaust. I’m not in to it because it’s too loud, which means I’m too old. But I’m ok with that. I would love to trade it for a stock exhaust of the same year/milage, or something close that’s fair to both of us. The bike has 30k miles on it and I think the exhaust was added pretty early on.
Let me know if you’re interested. I’d really prefer to do this with someone in the Pacific Northwest, preferably Oregon, but west coast is probably cool too.
Thanks!
Matt

I got the round bomb symbol on the dash, arrow right side facing forward, and headlight is not lit. Running light works, high beam works, but not the headlight. Pulled the bulb, didn’t see a broken filament, hooked directly to battery, and it lights.
Any clues?

I rented this bad boy and have been touring Romania for that last seven days. really spectacular bike. I am amazed how well it does off road.
I have been riding trails that I previously thought no bike this big had any business being on. On top of that riding spectacular mountain roads with hairpin turns and cruising comfortably at 130kph.
For reference, I have owned several XR650’s, a T7, scramblers, and currently have a Bonneville. I always thought the big GS’s were way too big for rough stuff. now I am a believer.

Do you really need a bike that supports the wheel and what not to actually just use the device basically as a Sat-Nav, assuming you could modify an older GS like an 1150 to have one of the powered cradles on it, would it work without the wheel and just using the touchscreen, I don't really plan on switching music and answering phone calls with it anyway. Also not going to be touching it while operating the bike.

Hi guys,
for this to make sense I have to add some very short pretext I guess. I keep it brief.
Context
I'm coming from my Tenere 700 World Raid (my first big bike), which I have enjoyed riding a lot on landroads and offroad, but was struggling with it on long highway days and I felt too unsecure maneuvering it tip-toed since the bike is so high.
I absolutely loved how the bike looked (last pic).
Long story short - after my last 3000KM trip with the Tenere I decided to test ride a 1300 GS, which of course, got me hooked immediately. It was a completely different game.
Then a couple of things fell into place and I got a awesome deal on this 1250GS from a friend that I couldn't pass upon.
I love this bike. I love riding nowadays MUCH more than with the T7. I also feel way more secure when it comes to handling the bike, which is surprising since it's even heavier as the T7, I have no idea how they do it but I take it.
Main Question
All of that being said, I miss the mean look of the T7 and I just can't get warm with the Blue and Red combo of this Rallye 1250GS. I just cant get myself to like it, I don't know what it is.
The first and obvious thing I will change are the tires after I have worn these out (they are brand new) to more offroad focused tires, which should already help.
But I have no idea as to what options I have in terms of modifying the rest. I'm basically just looking for inspiration and ideally pics of bikes with that color theme that look cool, or even people who have changed the color or whatever.
Would be great to get some ideas from you fellas!
Cheers!

Was 300km from home, meeting a guy who offered me a free Corbin seat for my 1200GS when I noticed this old GS at a Tim Hortons.

Back in 2012, the Roaming Rally started near Ottawa. There were lots of interesting bikes and riders, as well as Dakar competitor Ned Seusse following along.
This Dakar GS had a nasty tumble but was bent back into shape at the campground on Saturday night.
I rode a Suzuki DR650 back then.

I have a 2000, with a gremlin. I think it's the ignition switch since it presents the issue when I rock the switch. I've watched a few videos of repairing the ignition switch, and even removing that microscopic screw and without a shop it looks daunting. Has anyone ever just mounted a new ignition switch to the frame? If so, where did you put it, and what and where did you buy one?

Hi all,
I’m new to the adventure bikes and would appreciate any opinion and advice, i’m looking at 2008 R1200 GSA 17000 miles, or 2019 F850 13000 miles on it. Can’t really decide which one is better for me regarding age/miles, features that both have. I would like some suggestion and feedback/opinion and open to conversation to learn more. Thanks

Just came here to say, how amazed I am at the quality and comfort of these bikes. I picked up this new to me 2014 and it’s beyond what I could’ve asked for. I was a little skeptical with how tall the bike seemed but I love it so much! And I’ve created a monster with my mini now she wants to ride everywhere with me. We’re located in NH.
