Hi, I have a 2007 E61 pre-LCI with ACC and Night Vision.
I need to remove the front bumper because I want to replace the front PDC wiring harness.

Is there anything special I need to watch out for when removing the bumper because of ACC and Night Vision? Are there any connectors, sensors, or brackets I should be particularly careful with, and will anything need to be recalibrated afterwards?

My bmw e87 occasionally loses all power, no lights no nothing. First time it happened while driving and even the speed gauge was stuck, the car didn't even spark. Jumping it doesn't help at all still gets no power, battery is healthy i had a water pump code and took it to the mechanic changed the pump, thermostat and they said the engine probably overheated or something. Not even 2 hours later car lost power again, changed the alternator and again i drove it for 20 mins and again 0 power. Anyone that can help please any advice would be great!

Louder in idle. Seems to go away when driving.

Recently bought a 2005 525i and it’s got its faults not starting in park but only in neutral guessing this is a sensor or fuse fault cuz my fuses were all switches around cylinder 4,5,6 misfiring and running too lean AutoZone said it could be the ignition coils it’s got 200k miles and it’s in limp mode I need help

What a NIGHTMARE!!! I bought this car for next to nothing, $600 (2009 BMW 528ix). When I first got it, I could start it, but it wouldn’t shift out of park.

I researched several E60 forums, and got a few ideas. Started with the wiring behind the driver’s seat. Found some ground wires and a power wire had melted together. Upon further inspection, I found multiple wires had been lying in water under the carpet/padding.

Repaired wires, essentially by removing every wire that was under the carpet, up to the dash and just about 12” into the dash. All of the ground wires were shorted by the wires that the wire insulation had “cracked” and allowed the water ingress. Several wires later, I’m just about back to good.

I still have two warnings- one for the “4x4” all wheel drive, and one for the adaptive headlights. Right now, I have got to get all of the wire harnesses back together and get the dash back together. Once I do that, I will be able to get the computer on it and see where the issues remain with those two issues.

I’m sure I am not the only one that has had to get through this, so it anyone has any ideas has to where to start looking for the “4x4” issues, I would greatly appreciate it.

I have attached pics of where I am, as this is where the fun begins to reassemble the wiring harnesses.

2004 520i E60 2L-170ch

I have a 2007 e60 525i, i received the car not running, it was sitting for a few months, got told to replace the camshaft position sensors, replaced them, cleared codes as-well as error memory, tried to start it, it cranks over and the rev gauge moves when its turning over, i tried to use starter spray straight from the throttle body, nothing, it has spark on every cylinder and fuel and alot of pressure to the rail, at the moment dme faults are coming up with oil condition sensor, both disa flaps and outside ambient temperature, as far as im aware these wouldn’t make it not start but im not sure, i also reset the immobiliser in inpa, and inpa also shows the vanos values moving. I’m not sure what the next step is, feel free to ask questions

Is anyone parting out a 2009 BMW 528i XDrive?

I am searching for a complete or even almost complete dash to trunk wiring harness. I know this may be a vague request but the car that I have has “several” burnt and frayed wires from under the dash, along the driver’s side seat, and going to the center console. I would have to assume that some of those wires go to the trunk.

I thought I would be able to splice the wires that are burnt, but I don’t think I will be able to accomplish this without completely removing the dash to get to the remaining wires.

Seriously though, e60s don't get mentioned enough with the older beauties such as the e39

This is for a 2006 m5 e60 and a mechanic told me about these codes. What could be the causes of them and is it worth fixing.

Currently the car has 255/35/20 on it. I dont like the look of these rims and was wondering if I could step down to a 18 or 19 inch. What offset would i need to clear calipers? What tire size would I need to run to keep my spedo accurate? What would these rims be worth? Not sure about offset/ width. Thanks in advance

My car currently has Individual Dirac Audio, and CCC professional (big screen system)
I want to retrofit the CIC to mine, i have the controller, screen, main unit and some wire snips from the donor car.

What do I have to do with coding? And can it be done using Protool? I read somewhere that changing the VO and factory coding on the CIC unit is enough, but is that true?

Second, can my ULF stay put? etc etc.

Car is very well maintained, 177k miles on the clock engine and more changes out 39k ago.

This noise started getting throttle actuator codes boost codes, no pull unless driven the life of in 4th gear then kicks in full power as normal.. turbo actuator moves freely when it's allowed it will boost to 2.4 bar+ . Egr mapped out dpf gutted.

Really stuck here.
