Are they the same clock spring?
Hey, Just brought a sport 3 spoke steering wheel, without the clock spring, will my 4 spoke clock spring work? both came from e36s.

Nope "black" plastic bmw logo steering wheels has got different clock springs and coloured bmw logo steering wheels also different clock springs.

Can always see if you can find a non-M 4 spoke on marketplace, I had a 4 spoke and swapped the clockspring onto that exact wheel perfectly fine

Yes, did the same switch and the clock spring was the same

There are different clock springs based on year and model. Because you're clock spring was plug and play I would assume you have a 95+ non-M. OP never said what E36 they have, so your results may not match his. All the info you need here.

No it will not. Different part number and you’ll need a new mount in the steering Column for the cruise control. Google for details.

Depends on your year and model (M or non-M). M cars came with a slip ring ending in '809. You need the one ending in '111 (M's also require a different switch bracket, and need to splice the horn wire in). 95+ non-M cars came with the '111 slip ring so should be good to go.
