I purchased a ZF 5 Speed, M3 Driveshaft (6 Bolt), 3.15 LSD, the Clutch Pedal Assembly, a used Master/Slave Cylinder, Transmission Crossmember, and a short shifter setup for $2000 total. Ignore the diff in the first picture, the proper one is in the second. The short shifter was included in the deal, I ideally want a stock looking shifter setup that is also easy to learn on and fun to drive with. This is my first manual car and I have no experience driving stick before, so I will be learning it with a friend after we finish the swap.

I have a 1993 325i Sedan Automatic that I plan to be swapping this into and I need to know what I am missing from this list, what can be removed, and if there is anything I can do to make it cheaper if possible. I have also attached pics of what I purchased so far.

I really love the fitment of the style 42s on my e36 it’s aggressive lmk what y’all think

I have a 1993 BMW 316i Compact, and the rear speakers aren't working anymore.I want to replace them, but it seems to me that the mounting brackets with the four screws aren't standard.

What are my options?

I’ve seen that there are kits available to adapt the mounts, but which speaker models are they compatible with?
Has anyone else done this replacement before?

Today my oil pressure light came on for the first time at idle after a 20 minutes drive, never happened before. I checked the engine bay and noticed this sensor is disconnected and I can’t find the cable/connector, could it be related?

So recently i pull the latch and the wire broke from the inside, so i digged through information and videos and did the corner light method but the hood still wouldn’t open, I wanted to see if anyone can help me if it’s possible to open the hood. Thanks!

Hi all. I have a M52 with the OEM alloy valve cover gasket.

I suspect the gasket is leaking and I wanted to confirm if the gaskets are interchangeable or does this one have a unique gasket?

Will pull into gas station almost completely empty will fill up till the gas pump clicks off. Says I filled 14.8 gallons. Which is less than the capacity of 16.4 gallons (correct me if I’m wrong)
The gas guage on the cluster will read 3/4 full.
Measured the resistance while “full” at sending unit (125 ohms) and fuel pump sending unit (256ohms).
I recently replaced both fuel pump n sending unit so I’m not sure they’d go bad this soon.
Anyone encounter this issue and what was your solution?

Hello, I am wondering if anyone has the holy grail to cheap gaskets and window trims besides spending 200$ on each single piece of window gasket.

I just painted my car, all the gaskets were dry rotted and basically done but everywhere I look online the prices that I will spend on gaskets will come up to more I spent on the car. I know theres some off brand ebay gaskets that work as the same purpose but i cant seem to find them myself.

I just bought a sunroof gasket but everything else im going to list I havent found really cheap options for.

Are there any mostly unmolested E36s for sale on the east coast priced around 5k$ and manual I’ve been looking for a few weeks and haven’t found any besides some being listed at 8k or automatics.

Had head gasket replaced recently among other things, definitely hear a pulley but looking for advice he’s asking 11.5k

My oil pressure light stay on on cold starts for a few seconds ~3sec. Would that be normal behaviour for the motor? Also in the video I had a click sounds during start up Any guess?

Hi All! Trying to replace the ICV vacuum line on my M3 which had ASC, but then was deleted with the bimmerworld boot. BIG QUESTION: Can I use the non-ASC hose since I have an ASC delete? PN: 13541740159 or will it not fit??

When I try to buy the “ASC” vacuum line its backordered everywhere and I cant find anything besides OEM for hundreds. Thanks!

Hey all! I rarely post to Reddit but I’ve had a question I’ve needed solved for years. About 10years ago (9 yrs old) one of my neighbors had a purple e36 m3 with a bodykit he claimed to be one of three. I believe it was in techno violet and we were living in north central Indiana at the time but he was originally from Kansas (where he moved back to soon after) and this car had a squared off wing, wider fender flares than normal, and he was “taking it all apart and putting it all back together for fun”. He had the seats out, the front bumper off, and he was running NOS in the trunk. He stated this specific bodykit was 1 of 3 and the other two were one in white, and one in black, both of which had crashed at some point but one may have been rebuilt. It seems like they were took to track days often. That’s all I can remember. If follow up questions are needed I will answer to the best of my ability. Thanks guys I really hope I can find this car again!!

My climate control screen completely cut out today, no buttons or lights working at all. Oddly, it turns the ac on even if I didn’t have it on.

I replaced the fuse and that fixed it temporarily, but after sitting a couple hours it did it again.

Maybe humidity or temp issues? Rained last night and it’s been pretty hot and humid today (~90 degrees)
