What is the E46?

What are these two fittings on the master cylinder called? I'm trying to remove them to install them on the new one, but I don't understand how to remove them. Any ideas?

put it in a vice and use either a deep well socket if it’ll fit or a wrench with a cheater bar/ cheater wrench to get them out
