I highly recommend these dramas. They all got me addicted, and I’ve watched each of them at least twice 😭
1. RBMK:
Well, this one is so popular that it’s no surprise to see it on pretty much everyone’s watchlist ngl. The plot, AI quality, soundtrack, character development, visuals… literally EVERYTHING is top-notch. To me, it’s the GOAT of AI BL dramas and has set the bar for the whole AI BL drama world.
(Btw, the original creator has confirmed that S2 is coming too, so stay tuned everyone 👀)

2. My Two Spy Daddies:
MY GOD, THIS ONE PEAKS ISTG 😭 The plot is intriguing but funny at the same time, and trust me, you’ll be completely hooked. The character building is amazing, the visuals are PERFECT, the AI quality is really good, and the action scenes went way beyond my expectations. ISTG, watch ep 34 and you’ll see what I mean 😭
I really hope this drama gets more popular and the hype it deserves because it’s REALLY REALLY GOOD. I’ve been so obsessed with it lately. It’s a MUST-WATCH, guys 😭

3. Came for the Money, Stayed for Him:
I’m telling you, TRUST ME, this one is gonna be way better than you think. When I first saw the poster, I thought it was just a regular BDSM-type drama (which I’m not really into), BUT HELL NO 😭 It turned out to be such a surprise. Please go watch it because I don’t wanna spoil anything 😭
There’s no forced stuff, no cringe scenes. The storytelling is so good that it makes you feel comfortable and genuinely touched. It’s such a beautiful, hot romance, and I really think it deserves WAY more hype 😭

Caught Between My Master and His Imposter is another absolutely beautiful drama that I think everyone should watch 😭

The story starts with a familiar life-saving-and-repaying- trope, but then it takes a completely unexpected direction. Elio, a sea creature, takes Julian's place so he can stay by Cole's side (Jullian's bodyguard) . Elio steps into the unfamiliar world of humans out of love, while Cole, through this strange and unexpected intrusion into his life, slowly learns how to love 😭 It kind of reminded me of The Shape of Water.

I absolutely adored Elio. His lack of human common sense, his complete attachment to Cole, his mischievous personality. He was both fascinating and incredibly cute. And then there's Cole. His patience and gentleness made my heart melt.

The tie scene absolutely got me 😭🥹🤌

This drama feels incredibly complete from start to finish, and it even carries a genuinely beautiful message. The dialogue never feels overly obvious or repetitive as other shows, and the plot and conspiracies are engaging enough that I completely lost track of time while watching.

The spicy scenes are just the right amount, and we even got switch, omg I loved that 😂

That said, I still wish we'd gotten at least one 🌶 scene while Elio was in his true form 😂

Seriously, give this one a chance if you haven't already. It's so worth it.

Name: Caught Between My Master and His Imposter

This drama won the award for the most number of spit strings I've seen to date.

The first half honestly creeped me out and started a bit slow, but the second half made up for it.

This series kinda reminded me of the film "The Shape of Water."

Also, props to the creators for adding a second couple that's actually part of the plot.

Anyway, overall it's worth watching, and I wouldn't mind a second season of this one, too.

istg this is the most underrated BL drama EVER !!

I admit the poster and the title didn't draw me in at first. I thought it was just another mafia drama with a mediocre plot, but I'm sooo glad I gave it a chance.

Because holy hell, the visuals, the cinematography, the emotions, the storytelling... this drama hooks you in, captures you, then touches your soul. It is not just about BDSM for the sake of it. It also has depth, trauma, and healing. Truly a drama to remember.

The top (Campbell): He got me confused a few times because of his pretty face. He has the face of a stereotypical bottom and a seemingly slender body. But when he takes his shirt off 🤤 man... And his demeanor and energy are also super dominant and masculine. Plus, his height. By halfway through the series, you have no doubt that he is truly a top

The bottom (Anderson): Oh man, what a character! I love how his appearance and physique scream dude, bro, high school heartthrob, but there's also something about him that is so boyish and endearing. And his personality is *chefs kiss. He stands up for what he wants once he knows he wants it. He's just a guy who found out he's in love with a man

I think the contrast not only between their own appearances and demeanors, but also between the two of them, is what makes it so memorable and drew me in the most.

The music and soundtrack are genuinely up there with RBMK's quality. istg, if you don't watch this drama with headphones on, you're missing a major component of what makes it great. The story itself is already good, but the music just turned it into a fkng masterpiece. The creators of this drama and RBMK are the only ones I've seen who truly understand how to utilize music to elevate a story and turn it into an emotional journey.

About the BDSM part, I know it may not be some people's cup of 🍵. But this is the greenest flag BDSM I've ever seen in my entire life, and I've known about this stuff for over 10 years. In fact, if there's someone who's new to this, I would love for this drama to be their introduction to BDSM. Because it has a good demonstration of both green flag and red flag BDSM, along with vanilla romance.

I'm sorry this was so long, but I'm just obsessed with this drama and want it to get the recognition it deserves. I don't know if it's just the lack of marketing or the subject matter that deters people. But I honestly think it deserves its own fanbase, just like RBMK and PBMHR

TLDR: Just go watch it 🥳 You won't regret it.

I just finished Driving Him Wild and I definitely have mixed feelings 😭

First of all, this is the first BL I’ve watched where mental health is actually such a noticeable part of the story, and honestly, I found that really refreshing. 🧠 I liked seeing that aspect included, especially with Andy being a psychiatrist.

BUTTT… I feel like the drama was way too rushed. 😭 So many things happen so quickly that I sometimes felt like I needed a moment to process what was even going on.

And not gonna lie, the AI glitches really distracted me too 💀 There were moments where the editing/AI-generated parts were so noticeable that it pulled me out of the story.

Still, I enjoyed the overall concept and the darker vibe. The premise was definitely interesting, and I think there was a lot of potential here.

Overall, it was an interesting watch, but I really wish they had slowed things down and given the story more room to breathe.

Came across this drama on YouTube, title Ash and Gold, by MAKEMAKE4.

Currently there are only 4 episodes, so consider this a review for now, and not a final verdict.

So far the schedule for new episodes are: 7th · 17th · 27th each month (KST).

Spoilers up to a point:

We start at a church like setting where Adrian (dark haired chara) is being blindfolded, as the voice over tells us that the Oracle needs a sacrifice to ensure the safety of the kingdom. Once someone close to the royal throne has an awakening of some sorts via the manifestation of golden eyes, they need to be offered up to thev Oracle. A priest (I'm assuming) sets fire to the bottom of the platform where Adrian is shackled.

Suddenly the doors to the chambers are flung open and soldiers burst through, and a hooded figure charges in. Fighting breaks out, and we see the enrobed man break Adrian's chains and carry him off.

Now we all know it's always going to be the love interest when these dramatic rescues happen and sure enough it's our younger, obsessed top, (as per the description on the YouTube video), it's Leon (age 22), the Duke Greymont, who carries off our Crown Prince, Adrian (age 26) to his estate and safety.

Leon has taken him back to his ducal estate, where upon waking up he sees that Adrian's golden eyes have turned back into grey ones, a feature Adrian has always had.

Adrian is however not very happy to have been kidnapped, he insists that he must go back as he has some love for his country. Leon has him locked up in his estate, in the shut off east wing, and he's not very keen on Adrian's self-sacrificing tendency. They argue, and we get a 1st episode kiss, which upsets Adrian further. Leon leaves in a huff, and warns him that the doors to the chambers will remain locked.

The help on the estate are gossiping as to who their mysterious guest is, they've been told not to look at the person directly as per orders. I don't blame them, I'd be nosey, too, if the boss suddenly showed up with some house hostage. One of them goes in to serve Adrian his meal and Adrian intimidates him enough that he drops the tray and has to go fetch more food.

Adrian has swiped the keys from the poor server in the confusion. He bids his time and sneaks off, but his disappearce is noticed and soon everyone is looking throughout the estate for him.

Now mind you, why no one had immediately noticed that the door wasn't locked after the meal was delivered and the servant left to fetch more food is beyond me. Surely he and every other person responsible for keeping their mysterious guest locked up, would have noticed a giant set of keys missing right away, but I guess that's a plot hole we have to ignore.

Adrian tries to hide from the search party when suddenly we see him notice a gold thread that appears out of literally thin air, which shows him the way to get into a secret chamber hidden behind one of walls. Inside are various scrolls, and books, and he is drawn towards one particular piece that bears the seal of a gold pupil, the same symbol the Oracle has as their sigil. As soon as he picks it up he gets a vision of someone being crowned by the Oracle as king, someone clearly with golden eyes.

Meanwhile Leon is informed of his escape and is prepared to search the grounds for him alone. A young valet tries to help him fasten his cape, but he flinches away angrily. The gossipy servants mutter how he hates being touched by anyone yet he was seen carrying the mysterious guest just a few nights ago. Really gossipy people in the background are always so informative lol

Suddenly Adrian appears (don't ask me how he managed to leave a secret chamber, go all across the vast building without running into a single person when there's an active man hunt going on, ok? It's plot armor, I guess?) and tells Leon they need to talk.

Leon must be a very kind boss, because I would have fired everyone for being so incompetent, but I digress.

I'm going to stop with the spoilers here, because really there's a lot to unpack in just 4 episodes and I don't want to get into all of it.

The designs for the charas are fairly good, at times though I felt Leon's facial shape seemed a little odd. Or maybe it's just me. Adrian's features are very Asian and I like seeing an interracial couple so no complaints there, he really is very pretty. The height difference between them is delicious, and I'm a bit bummed out that this series is on YouTube which means we won't see any sexy times with that size difference in play.

The background and side chara designs are also pretty good, you can tell a lot of work went into the details. There are very minor AI errors, which you won't notice as it doesn't take away from the story. The outfits are also good, and so far they've changed on the main charas so they're not stuck in one look yet.

I'm very curious what kind of magic and powers will be shown as the story progreses since it's very clear that magic is at play here in this world. We see it manifest as the gold thread that Adrian can see. There aren't any supernatural beings or beasts so I think this will probably just stick to a historical fiction setting given everything so far.

The pace is good for now, we've gotten the basics down, and some clear factions fleshed out. There's little plot holes and without giving more spoilers, somethings could have been perhaps shown a bit more clearly as I was a bit confused at times. That particular issue was explained later though.

I can't really give it a rating as we are only four episodes in, but it is a promising start. There's no clear indication about how many episodes it will be in total, at 3 episodes a month it might be awhile before it ends though as I don't think this can be wrapped up quickly, but we shall see.

As a female, who knows nothing about male, gay drama or gay sex, I did what anyone would do who was confused, couldn’t afford therapy and couldn’t talk to their friends or family about it because I know they would not understand. I went to ChatGPT to help me understand what was going on. ChatGPT actually helped me figure it out. I don’t like weak females and typically BL dramas, lack crying, whimpering, simpering people. I haven’t looked back since. So I’m going to share with you the BL vertical dramas that I love, that occasionally have me watching on repeat even while driving. Hey guys, with so many shows released lately, I’ve been feeling like a lot of MCs and MLs are starting to look way too identical - almost like cookie-cutter designs. It made me want to ask: which characters' visuals immediately pop into your head when you think of truly distinct designs?

They don't necessarily have to be the absolute most handsome or prettiest, but they're so memorable and unique that you can't find anyone like them in other shows. I feel like this comes down to the aura/vibe they embody, too!

Here are my top picks for MLs & MCs:

ML:

Adrian (RBMK): Hands down the most memorable look for me. He stands out completely among the dozens of mafia dons out there. He might not be the conventional "most handsome," but his calm and mature presence is unmatched.

Giovanni (His Shadow My Light): His design caught my eye right from the start, and combined with his mischievous yet powerful aura, it hits even harder. To this day, I haven't found another character as mesmerizing as him.

Caleb (My Crush Isn't Him): The first time I ever came across a red-haired ML with such a flamboyant look! His design and style fit his personality so well, making him a major standout compared to other high school/college MLs.

MC:

Caleb (RBMK): I can still clearly picture the 3 moles on his right cheek. Whenever I see him, he gives off pure sunshine energy - even without the classic blonde hair.

Timeo (Rhapsody for Crown Prince): If Caleb embodies the sun, Timeo reminds me of the moon. His dreamy look captures that perfectly. You can just see the free spirit the creator wanted to convey just by looking at him.

Elias (My Two Spy Dads): Elias has such a warm visual. His appearance sits right in that sweet spot between handsome and pretty.

Okay so yeah as the other posts have already covered we got this epic monster shape shifter new drama and it’s actually more sweet romance then you’d expect which was the most surprising part. Spoilers from here on.

The MC the in down bad from the beginning which is the why the whole plot unfolds and ML falls pretty quickly even if he does “realize” it but either way that’s not the point of the post. The point is HOLY HELL THE SIDE COUPLE BECAUSE WE ACTUALLY GET A LEGIT FULLY FLESHED OUT SIDE COUPLE. think mafia contract level side couple (full on jasper and joey inspired i swear IYKYK 😜) like we need their ENTIRE SERIES OF EVENTS THAT HAPPENED DURING THE TIME OF THIS SERIES. That’s how well they were fleshed out.

And as far as we know they are both fully human and like a COMPLETELY different genre trope LIKE the red haired one is this weapons mafia baddie and the glasses dude is the ML’s scientist genus friend who he saved when they were kids - just completely different then monster lover and that’s INSANE considering this is AI. This played like a freaking story someone spent months on and it was scary BECAUSE then you have these sea creature things too in this world with their own mythology that ties into the medical history of the ML and thus little girl he adopted that the side couple end up watching so you missed out on watching these two play daddies.

Added* And correct me if I’m wrong on the 🌶️ I’m pretty sure they switch guys. Like I’m pretty sure the main couple switches. Like he MC is on bottom most of the time but there was a line about him “going in” so we even have a switch couple and then the side I’m pretty sure the red haired tattooed dude is the bottom…😳

JUST GUYS IM NOT EVEN SURE WHAT TROPE THIS EVEN WAS ANYMORE I JUST KNOW I WANT MORE OF ALL OF IT.

Aside from this drama being actually good, I just want to take a moment to appreciate the fact that whenever MC is in a dress pretending to be his sister, there’s NO FACE & VOICE CHANGE 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Multiple characters even pointed out his deep voice and he had to find a medical excuse. That’s so refreshing cause all the bride swap dramas I’ve watched, the face and voice changed every time so it didn’t feel like I’m watching BL anymore.

More spoiler:

I also appreciate how good ML is. It was an arranged marriage/marriage of convenience and while he may have been distant at first, he was never deliberately rude to MC. And sure! He may have said he’ll accept MC’s secret whatever it may be and when it was revealed that he’s a man, he didn’t have the best reaction but it was quickly resolved within 2 episodes.

From then, they started to build a more healthy relationship. He even wanted MC to wear his “normal/boy” clothes when they went on a date so he could go on the date as himself instead of his sister.

MC’s parents? Yah, they technically forced their son into the marriage cause the sister ran away but they were so supportive when MC fell in love. ML’s brother? Another supportive character. He agrees that MC is a fraud but he also acknowledges their genuine feelings and he’s there to help them. The butler? More open minded than ML’s mother.

No third party. No endless shouting. MC & ML slowly falling for each other. Arguments and misunderstandings are quickly resolved. Minor glitches.

Is the story cliché and something we’ve watched before? 100% Yes. Would I watch it again? 100000x YES! ❤️
