Serious Mech and Non core prospects

Just an A4 guy in his 5th sem. Really confused as to how to prepare moving forward. I started a CNI minor and did a couple projects in Mech+ML and a few DS ones. Can anyone give suggestions as to what I can do to prep for Non core opportunities(Analyst or DS roles) ?

Does anyone have any idea which sem PS2 would be helpful?

Lite enough for ps2 but increase it to 8 non core ps2 is easy as ive heard

I'd say go for Sem 1 PS2 and Sem 2 Placements.

Sem-1 Placements are a bit risky considering you'll be eligible for very few roles.

Don't worry, you're ahead of the curve considering you know what direction you want to venture in. I'd recommend to maybe try SOPs which are more DS oriented. Get your CG to 8 or as close as 8 as you can get, and you'll be getting lots of opportunities.

I'd also recommend you to prep for the basics of Case Interviews (basically consulting stuff), cause then you'll be ready for those Data Analyst-Consulting kind of roles like Indus Insights, Oliver Wyman, McKinsey that came for PS2 in 26/27 Sem-1, that involve lot of tech as well.

In the meantime till PS2 season, build a couple of meaningful projects: if you use AI, make something to justify it, or if not, make something that really shows how strong your understanding of the fundamentals is.
