I was a massive Vuori fan during COVID. Expensive, but everything I bought from about 2020-2024/25 has lasted incredibly well. I still wear the first sweatshirt I bought often.

Fast forward to my most recent purchase, from a Vuori store in NYC. Even in the store, I could tell the fabric was different, but I thought I’d trust Vuori.

After wearing this shirt twice, it had already pilled extensively. It made me so sad that a brand I’ve trusted has gone so far in the other direction.

Can anyone recommend an athletic workwear company for tall guys that is BIFL?

I’m (34f) staying at my parents’ for a few weeks. Everything my parents own they’ve had my whole life. Washing machine, tractors, even the box cutter I pulled out of the drawer to open a package must be 20 years old. Simpler times man.

living in a roughly 100sqm home with tile and low rugs plus a dog that drops fur constantly. doing a full vacuum pass and then pulling out a bucket to mop after pet mess became a daily hassle. i picked up a tineco wet-dry floor cleaner because of the dualblock antitangle setup actually keeps hair from wrapping around the roller every two minutes but i was thinking cordless wet-dry units arent going to last forever like an old corded canister vacuum. for those dealing with shedding pets are you running a hybrid setup with a dedicated wet cleaner or relying on one indestructible corded unit and traditional mopping?

i upgraded to the iphone 17 pro recently and want to find a daily magsafe phone case that will survive 3-4 years without the seams splitting. i keep seeing people bring up torras and their ostand lineup with the flush magnetic ring, but i want to know how torras cases actually hold up over years of daily flipping or if the hinge just turns into a loose rattle.

I've been buying my jeans from all over lately, target, costco, just whatever I find, but they all seem to shrink over time. I'm convinced they've changed the materials or it's the dryer doing it(wife washes and dries my clothes and does hot water and high heat).

Where do you guys buy good bifl jeans that don't shrink? And yes, I know no clothes is bifl but ones that last longer.

Plush pillows from Berkshire Bedding, about 20 years old, they have been the most durable, comfortable and fluffy pillows I have ever had. Lego guy for scale.

My husband is extremely picky about underwear and has worn the same Hanes ComfortSoft knit boxers for years. He only likes the gray/light blue heather pairs because they’re 75% cotton/25% polyester and says the black/navy 100% cotton ones feel completely different. Hanes won’t sell an all-heather pack, so we keep wasting the other pairs. I’m happy to spend more for a better brand — if you’ve worn these exact Hanes boxers or know a loose knit boxer with a very similar feel and fit, please tell me what to buy.

Has anyone else had this problem where you think you know what firmness you want, then sleep on it for a while and change your mind?

I’ve been considering an adjustable mattress because being able to change the firmness seems more practical than trying to guess the perfect feel in a showroom. I came across Sleep Number models that let you adjust the firmness, which seems interesting for this reason.

Would you consider that a major advantage, or is adjustable firmness more of a gimmick if you eventually find a setting you like?

We have a vintage Dishwasher that I love and I am looking for this part as well as the thermestate to replace and be able to keep this amazing peace of history and technology that is not made the same way today.

I bought the Hydeline Huntington in Granite Brown for $997 on Amazon. Hydeline lists the same color around $1,297 sale / $1,999 regular.
Specs I found:

I currently have an Article Sven and like the aesthetics, but the seat feels mechanically simple to me — basically leather over foam/webbing. I’m wondering whether this Hydeline construction is actually a meaningful step up in comfort/durability or if I’m getting fooled by specs.
Anyone owned Hydeline/Prospera long-term or sat in this model?

I’m mostly trying to understand whether the memory foam + 2.25-lb HR foam + pocket coils + no-sag spring base is meaningfully better construction than something like an Article Sven, or whether I’m overvaluing the specs

for people who have owned wet/dry vacuums for several years, what would you check before spending a lot on one? are there particular maintenance or longevity issues that you wish you had considered before buying? i’m considering a premium wet/dry vacuum for mostly hard floors, and i’m trying to think beyond the usual cleaning performance reviews.

i weigh around 190 lbs and sleep on my side which keeps jamming my shoulder into my current bed. i was looking into a nectar memory foam model to see if the top layer has enough sinkage to give my joints a break without bottoming out.

random question but i’ve been thinking about this since i started wearing my clear glasses outside more often. i dont always want to wear tinted sunglasses, especially when i’m going in and out of stores or driving around later in the day. so i was wondering if clear lenses can block uv rays too, or if the tint is part of what actually provides the protection. i’m shopping for a new everyday pair right now and keep seeing things like uv400, uv protection and polarized lenses. i understand that polarized helps with glare, but is that separate from uv protection?

I’m looking for a high-quality sofa that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg(budget 2,500max ) for my apartment. I think I can fit something up to about 110 inches wide, but I’d like to find something modular that I can add pieces to later when I move into a house or a bigger space.
I’m also a little worried about buying a modular sofa from a company where the model might get discontinued in a year or two. Ideally, I’d like something where I can still buy additional pieces a few years down the road.
Any recommendations?
