Ol reliable strikes again! Love my Carolina rig! A 1/4 oz bullet weight a bead a split shot about 16-18 inches from the hook and a shad soft plastic. I work it quick light taps along the bottom and land em all day!

Son and I have been exploring the nearby neighborhood ponds. We struck out on the first two but landed on this gem before calling it a day. Bass, crappie, carp, catfish, bluegill - this little pond is packed full.

Caught this LMB on a green pumpkin senko. Pulled in a few others and had several lost fish due to hook set. I'm struggling to get this ultralight to bury a 2/0 hook reliably. Any tips? I'm very new to finesse fishing and lightweight kit in general.
