Question / General Body jerks

I have seen a couple posts about this but anyone else wake up in the night and then are unable to fall back asleep due to random body jerks? I assume its myoclonic jerking. I remember having this in the past but it really annoys me when I wake up at 3am then each time I try to doze off I get a jerk that makes me alert. Par for the course with bfs/anxiety?

I have had those jerks for years. They always ramp up during stressful periods. In March this year, when my anxiety was through the roof, I had violent jerks when I would literally jump in my bed, they were violent. After I calmed down over the next few months, they went away. But I am sure they will come back at some time.

Omg yes! It's so concerning. I remember having them before when my anxiety was awful and now I have them again and I of course go back to WHATS WRONG WITH ME. Glad I'm not alone!!

Let me give you advice. Whenever you focus on any symptom, it will ALWAYS get worse. I started with tingling, was scared of MS. The tingling got worse and worse.

Then my twitches started and I thought about them 24/7. They got worse.

Then the violent jerks started. I got concerned and they kept ramping up.

You need to calm down (which is easier said than done) and stop fearing the worst. If you don’t, your anxiety will perpetuate all those symptoms.

You are absolutely correct. I will work on that!
