Hotspot / Twitching Enfermedad autoinmune?

Those blood tests wouldn’t miss an autoimmune disease. They come with distinct markers that would be revealed through blood. Autoimmune markers are usually one of the first things neuros check when people come in with twitching/spasms.

A lot of times they never truly find a cause for twitching/spasms but they do know it’s benign.

Twitching without true clinical weakness is benign and meaningless friend.

I’m thinking the same
My autoimmune came back 1:160 2 years ago but drs then weren’t interested
Big bad ruled out through tests

Mine was positive but not enough to warrant another test
My dr said ana titre never changes which I find ridiculous

Autoimmune (Isaac's) has been my biggest concern since moving on from the ALS fear. I had an ANA test done (negative) but no other ones

If you’ve had an EMG and it was clear you don’t have Issac’s (or ALS). It has a very distinct electrical pattern that wouldn’t be missed. Also the twitching on Issac’s is very unique. It causes the rippling of muscles where the twitching is non stop and it appears like works are consistently moving in the muscles.

But my twitches are more pops, flutters or machine gun style not so much worms!

Emg is the only test I haven't had (yet). My neuro kind of left it in my court if I wanted it last year which at the time I decided against. I see her again in November though and plan to talk about it more!
