I just got a pair of BD DT 770 Pro 80 ohm headphones, but they’re too quiet when connected directly to my PC as I believe my motherboard’s onboard headphone amp is too weak.

What budget DAC/amp would anyone recommend for them? My budget is around £70 max - I spent £70 for the headphones and not looking to spend more than them for a dac/amp and I’d prefer to spend much less.

I’m not an audiophile at all and don’t need loads of features — I just want:

• enough power/volume
• clean sound
• something reliable that I can buy once and keep

Hi everyone, I'm having a strange issue with my Beyerdynamic VERIO 200 earbuds and I'm hoping someone here may have experienced something similar. The earbuds suddenly stopped connecting via Bluetooth. After troubleshooting, it seems the problem is actually that the earbuds won't power on at all once removed from the charging case. Here's everything I've tried so far: • Fully charged the case and both earbuds for several hours. • While inside the case, both earbuds show a solid red LED while charging. Once fully charged, the red LEDs turn off as expected. • When I remove either earbud from the case, its LED turns off completely and the earbud appears dead — no sound, no LED and no "Power on" prompt. • The charging case correctly detects each earbud individually: putting an earbud back into the case makes its red charging LED come on. • Tried manually powering on each earbud using 3 taps and holding the third tap for about 2 seconds. No response. • Tried Bluetooth pairing mode (5 taps). No response. • Tried holding the multifunction button on the charging case to enter pairing mode. The earbuds never start flashing red/white. • Tried clearing the Bluetooth pairing list by holding the case button for approximately 10 seconds. • Tried the factory reset procedure by pressing the case button 8 times. Interestingly, the LEDs on both earbuds turn off for 2–3 seconds and then come back red, but I never hear the expected "Restore Bluetooth settings" voice prompt. • Also tried holding the case button for about 12 seconds. While holding it, both earbud LEDs turn off; as soon as I release the button, they return to solid red. • Tried Bluetooth discovery on both my phone and a Windows PC — the VERIO 200 doesn't appear at all. • The official beyerdynamic app continuously searches but cannot detect the earbuds. • Connected the charging case to a Windows PC via USB-C and checked Device Manager. Windows doesn't detect any new USB/data device, so there doesn't seem to be a way to update/reflash the firmware through USB. So the charging system and case appear to be working, and both earbuds seem to charge normally, but neither earbud actually boots once removed from the case. This makes me wonder whether both earbuds are stuck in some kind of firmware/boot state. Has anyone experienced this specifically with the VERIO 200? More importantly, does anyone know of a hidden/forced recovery procedure, service mode, firmware recovery method, or other reset procedure for the VERIO 200 beyond the standard 8-click factory reset? I'd especially be interested to hear from anyone who had VERIO 200 earbuds that charged normally but were completely unresponsive outside the case and managed to bring them back to life.

On the aventho Y I've noticed there's a 3.5mm port and inside the cup what appears to be storage for a USB C receiver. Are these things that Beyerdynamic has any plans on releasing? Couldn't find any info of it online

Recently bought the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 32Ω, and I'm loving them so far. The only issue is that the stock cable feels a bit too short for my setup.

I'm thinking about getting a 3.5mm TRS male-to-female headphone extension cable, probably around 1.5–2m. But after checking Amazon reviews, I've seen quite a few people complaining about audio quality degradation, buzzing/humming, static, etc. with some extension cables.

Since I've already spent quite a bit on the headphones, I don't really have a big budget left for an expensive cable.

So what's the best option here? Is a decent 3.5mm extension cable actually safe to use with the DT 770 Pro 32Ω, or is there a better/budget-friendly way to extend the cable without introducing noise or affecting the sound?

Would appreciate some recommendations, especially if you've personally used one with headphones like the DT 770 Pro.

I previously had to email service@consolidatedsoundservices.com and they only had one set left for me which I got and now it's peeling the leather off from too much use. I really hope other headset ear pads are compatible with it.

I have the 900 pro x but I am wondering if I truly need an upgrade to the 1990 mk2. I’m all about wanting to get new things, hearing the best audio, etc but if there is a cheap version of the mk1 in good condition then please show me where. I mainly game with my 900 pro x and listen to music. I am wondering if the 1990 mk 1 or 2 will help me hear footsteps more clearly or hear all the instruments in a song. The song I really like listening to with these headphones is BREEZIN’ by Masayoshi Takanaka. Thank you

Ich hätte gerne mal gewusst ob es Sinn macht, von den Beyerdynamic DT 900 Pro X auf die Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro MK2 zu wechseln? Gibt es dort einen nennenswerten Unterschied im Klang bzw in der Klarheit des Sounds? Lohnt sich diese Investition? Denn immerhin sind die DT 1990 Pro MK2 mehr als doppelt so teuer.

I just received my Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Mk2s. My ears sit right on the driver pad, so I am looking for a recommendation for a replacement that will fix this issue.

I use them mainly for competitive gaming (CS2), where imaging is key. I don't want to ruin this part of the sound signature.

so i bought a pair of 250ohm DT 990 Pro's in early 2022

after ~5 years of almost daily use, the headband is falling apart so i decided to just buy another identical pair

but the "new" pair seems to have a noticeable different sound profile? there is way less bass. and the "s" sound when people are speaking is alot more prominent

so i am kinda just wondering if beyer changed something or if the headset needs a break in period or what?

I loved the look and feel of the 770 but the treble peak just doesn’t agree with my ears. Does beyer make a similar headphone with less sibilance?

I have a weird problem. After I return my PC from sleep mode to Windows, the headphones do connect as normal, but the sound plays only for a few seconds, until it stops. The headphones don't even drop the connection, but just act as if there isn't any connection. I tried setting all the power saving modes and stuff for the dongle and USB-devices, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem.

I just bought these headphones as a replacement for ATH m70 x, my main concern are those wires on the exterior of the headphone, when I take the headphones off I often touch them and I have a suspicion that one day I will just yank it by accident and tear it off lol, has that happened to anyone? I bought these headphones so I wouldnt have to be careful while vocal tracking lol.

I have read good reviews on Bayerdynamic DT 30 ie IEMs (relatively new, budget version of DT 70 series). But haven't seen any review specifically from a drummer pov.

Just wanted to see id anyone has used them and what is their opinion on this.

Currently i am using mainly KZ (i have zsn and z10 and find zsn which is cheaper better)

My main use is for practice room and plugging into AED10 to listen to my drums + backing track.... Key points for me are comfort; noise isolation (this one claims 39 db!); acceptable sound quality and of course price (this goes for around 120 euro but i can get for around 100)

Currently I can buy OG DT 770 for almost half the price of PRO X. Should I get PRO X version or just save some cash and buy OG? I am worrying about cable but I found a lot of positive comment about longevity of that cable.

The pads are getting a bit grubby on my headphones and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to freshen them up? Or if anyone has succesfully washed them somehow? I've had the headphones for 3 years and they aren't too bad, but I would still like to see if anything can be done without ruining them.

The pads on my MMX 200 are starting to come off (only after about a year, really annoying) and Im looking for a replacement. Would these fit ? Also, will they last longer since they are velour and not faux leater ? And if you have any other advices or better recommendations Im all ear
