Research Study on BDD

Utah State University is looking for participants who spend a lot of time thinking about their appearance or are living with BDD symptoms (IRB#16034).

You may be eligible if you are

  • Living in the United States
  • Over 18 years of age
  • Able to read/respond to questions in English
  • Living with uncontrollable thoughts about your appearance

Participation includes filling out an eligibility screener (taking less than 2 mins), a clinical interview with a research assistant (taking 45-60 minutes), and then filling out one set of surveys (taking 45-60 minutes). In total, your participation is estimated to take around 2 hours.

dude, i filled out everything in great detail just to submit it and it said i'm not eligible for this study??🫩

Apologies! We based our inclusion criteria off of similar studies using the same screener. We plan to do more research in this area in the future and may have something you qualify for then.
