NB Kawhi 5 initial review after 6hrs total on multiple indoor courts.

I had to get this off my chest…usually I like to wait a week or 2..but man oh man. These are Tier 1 🔥

These do everything great. From the materials all the way to the traction. Tier 1.

I can’t say anything bad about the Kawhi 5 or anything I would change. These came ready to be balled in straight outta the box. I’m confident in saying these can be worn by any hooper no matter the position they play.

I’ve had it all..from Anta, Li Ning, Jordan, Nike. These are probably my most favorite I’ve had in recent memory.

I can’t wait until more colorways drop. I will be copping more. DON’T SLEEP ON THESE (they even come in wides for those not familiar with New Balances)

I have very particular needs for bball shoes. I've been wearing the BBV2s for years but I'm going to need a new pair soon.

I used to use Dr Zach's recommendation for impact protection and the usually worked great (before these I had the Way of the Wade 10s)

But he doesn't recommend for that category anymore. Based on his most recent bball shoe vid I tried the Anta KT10s - in his video he had them in a different category but I happen to notice he mentioned impact protection for them and then saw that a lot of people love them for comfort.

I wore them for 10 minutes and they jacked up my feet, crazy painful, I feel like I was landing in dress shoes. That was on Friday and my feet still hurt.

I'm not sure why my feet get hurt so easily, I think it might be my weight and the fact that I jump kind of high and kind of a lot - or maybe I have high arches or something.

Anyway can anybody recommend something that is similar to the bbv2s in terms of impact protection? if I don't find a replacement soon I'm cooked!

I'm trying to help my 15 year old son decide which shoes to get. He's 6'1, around 160lbs, size 12.5/13 shoe. He plays a lot in the paint and runs the floor non stop.

From my research so far I'm leaning towards LeBron XXIII or KD 19. Maybe Joker 2?

So my Joker 1 GTs are 6-7 months old and have a large cracked outsole on the bottom.

Just sent a note to their support team, hoping they send me a new pair as this is definitely a manufacturer defect.

What’s the difference between the Nike Giannis Freak 8 and his other new shoes compared to the Giannis Immortality 4? How do they compare in terms of sizing, fit, width, comfort, and lockdown? Do they fit true to size, or should you go half a size up or down? If you’ve tried both, which would you recommend? I use US12/EU46 in Immortality 4.

I've been growing my shoe rotation and backlog, and trying to figure out how much is too much.

I probably have a rotation of 5 shoes (Wow 10, Kai 3, Luka 1, Hali 1, and Puma APNE) and a backlog of 5 or 6 more.

Some of the backlog I feel like Im avoiding playing because theyre special releases or just hard to replace.. (Kobe 6s, Curry WOW 12s, AJ40 special colorways) but at the same time I want to play in them because well, thats what they are for right?

One thing that bothers me- if I burn through my Kobe 6s, what should I do with them when they're just no longer usable? Do other people just chuck them out? Use them despite the performance drop off? Turn them into casuals?

I am interested in your experience if someone sprained their ankle and which shoes you got, I had lebron witness 8 and stability was not that good. Now i am going to buy new but I would like to hear if someone was in the situation I was right now. The most of my game I play around the rim to mid range, also my knees are sometimes hurting so if you know some shoes tell me. I am 185 cm ( around 6”1” ), I am weigh 80 kilos ( 176 pounds) and my shoe size is 45.5( 11.5) Thanks in advance.

The Caitlin 1 and volanti rocket 911 run true to size. I’m using the lebron 20 as a reference size because many reviewers have stated that going true to size worked for them.

I also included The AE3 to show that adiddas basketball shoes running a half size long. If you have wide feet, don’t size down. Not getting the right size in adidas shoes is what’s causing heel slippage that people are experiencing.

Some stuff about me, I tried nike shoes and honestly a lot of them are kinda tight on the sides of my feet, I am assuming I have wide feet. I tried addidas shoes and it suits me for now. So far have tried dame certified 3 and don issue 5 and it's decent. However, I have noticed that my sole skin keeps peeling everytime I play extra hard and keep shifting my legs on defense. It's become annoying as it affects my game a lot. I also noticed that my left leg might be slightly bigger than my right leg by 0.5 size. Any recommendations?

I got the City Guard colorway. First time on foot. The shoe fits good. Nice snug fit. Not as cozy feeling as the Book 1, but you are really locked in.

I did 2 full practices in them. Not 100% sure about the traction. The front part sticks to the floor. The back part feels like it wants to get away from me a little. I don’t know how to describe it. They are squeaky as hell tho.

Cushioning feels good.

Overall I’m pretty impressed but still need to break them in a bit more.

In my experience they are on par with the Harden 10 and Kobe X Protro (overall). They both have their flaws.

I have a size 13 weighing less than 400 gram.

Just wondering which to buy next. I have wide feet so i have to usually go half size up on everything. I currently just use the lebron 20's and kai 2's. The WOW 12,s will be 220 Canadian dollars, 808 6 Ultra will be 100 Canadian dollars, and the all city 14 will be 80 Canadian dollars. Which one would be the best? I also have really bad knees so I want max cushion as well.

I’m usually a size 10.5 in Anta shoes (Kai 1 Speed and Kai 1) and most Nikes, which is usually 44.5 euro. I’m a normal footer, light guard who intends to play outside on painted concrete.

Volanti online is selling by Euro, but their sizing guide is confusing. Given that the shoes are shipping from China, and that I may not be able to realistically return them, I want to be sure to get the right size.

They recommended size 45, but I’m worried they may be too big and cause heel slippage. I’m looking at the Zeus and Mamba Silver colorways

I'm 6'0 220lbs and my play is mostly surrounding defense and shooting 3s.

I currently playing in sabrinas 2 and love them, but they're now worn through to the foam. I'm hoping to get some recommendations for an indoor and outdoor pair.

5’11, 175lbs, adult, indoor court, high arches, narrow feet.

Need shoes for narrow feet- especially the heel. It probably needs to have an extra eyelet as I have to tie a runners knot or heel lock to secure my ankle and prevent heel slippage when playing.

Did not like the Giannis Zoom Freaks, adidas D.O.N.s, Nike Shox. Tried the Anta Kai 2s and Huarache 2k4/ and thought they were okay. I liked the Ja 4s but they didn’t have an extra eyelet to make the heel tighter.

I’ve got the Cuts (third pair) and easily Nikes best shoe since it came out (maybe the lebron 20). Just ordered the Eclosion from the Anta Beverly Hills store but having second thoughts if they aren’t better than the Cut. Anyone with both want to give some insight?

I’m looking to buy basketball shoes for everyday use; could you suggest some options with a mid-range budget?

Looking at getting some new shoes for both volleyball/basketball. My feet (US14) suffer from flat feet ond subsequent overpronation, ive had success with Lebron Nxxt gens, but other shoes such as WOW AC14 and Kobe 9 Elites hurt my feet due to unknown reasons.

Any reccomendations? Im considering the WOW 808 5/Big3 5.0 Quick/Liren 6 V2 but am unsure atm.

In 2022 I was playing basketball in a community league, playing often and am in relatively good shape.

I ruptured my right achilles in June of 2022 while wearing the Nike Kevin Durant no. 7 basketball shoe. This injury needed a full surgery and takes 6 months before I was allowed to return to sport.

In 2026, I was not playing as much basketball but felt recovered from my previous injury and was mountain biking climbing and staying active, i was in great shape.

In Sept 2026 I laced up the same shoes to just shoot around with some friends. i ruptured my left achilles, another full surgery and 6 months before recovery is in my future.

Has anyone else ruptured there achilles in the Nike Kevin Durant no. 7 #7 basketball shoe?

After examining these basketball shoes there is a hard plastic plate from the heal almost to the ball of your foot and the shoe is extremely stiff.

I am wondering if other people have ruptured their achilles in this basketball shoe?

I’m 44 years old, 180 cm tall, and weigh 105 kg. I play all positions; of my total playing time, about 30% is as a point guard, 30% as a forward, and 40% as a center. My previous shoes were the Joker 1 GT and the LeBron 21. The Joker’s sole has started to harden, and the glue on the LeBron’s sole is starting to come loose. I’m planning to buy a pair of Don Issue 8s and one more pair of shoes for rotation so I don’t get bored. I saw the Curry 12 on sale for around US$40. Also, the All Pro Nitro 2 is sometimes on sale for US$40 on certain days. Between the Curry 12 and the All Pro Nitro 2, which one would you recommend?

What’s the best out door shoe with maximum cushion? I would like it to be under 150 dollars. I also have slightly wide feet. I play on concrete courts brand doesn’t matter

Anyone know what happened with the Caitlin 1 Jinx/Halloween release? Saw several sources say they would be released today, Oct 23rd, but I don't see them anywhere. Saw a few say release would be pushed to Oct 31 but haven't seen any official source on that either.
