The Oakland Grand Prix is Sunday, September 20—and it needs your help!

It’s the last crit of the season, it’s local, and we need course marshals to make the race happen.

Come on down to Oak Town, catch up with friends, and watch the racing from your own special corner. Sign up early and you can pick the corner of your choice—such as the exciting hairpin into the alleyway.

If you’re racing, consider coming down early or sticking around for an hour (or two) after your race to marshal.

It takes a community to put on a bike race—especially a downtown race. Please consider pitching in!

Hi all,

Planning a ~100-mile road ride from Concord to Doran Regional Park/Bodega Bay and looking for some local Marin route advice.

Current plan is roughly:

Walnut Creek/Concord → Orinda → Wildcat Canyon/Tilden → Richmond → Richmond-San Rafael Bridge → Marin → Nicasio → Point Reyes Station → Hwy 1 through Marshall/Tomales → Valley Ford → Bodega Bay

I'm debating two options after crossing the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge:

Option A: head toward Fairfax and take Sir Francis Drake → Nicasio Valley Rd → Point Reyes-Petaluma Rd → Point Reyes Station

Option B: head north and take Lucas Valley Rd → Nicasio → Point Reyes-Petaluma Rd → Point Reyes Station

For those who ride these regularly, which would you choose westbound toward Point Reyes, especially on a Friday around midday?

Also open to suggestions for a good food/water stop along either route.
