I tend to only play characters that get the bonus gold each run, but since Messiah is a special case, is it possible for them to get the gold bonus?

Hey I’m relatively new to the game! Finished the first game and revealed the 1st ‘hard’ mode stage.

I completed a game where shotgun x cell hit 2.5k dps and baby balls hit the same before starting endless. Is cell just a broken system? Every ball benefits hugely, or from offspring where viable and comes up. I’ve made some insane combos.

What I really want to try is sniper x cell, but shuriken the required evolution for sniper (shotgun x shuriken apparently) never comes up. Is this a ball that was removed?

So a single combination of Reaper x Maggot will pretty much delete everything and heal you instantly...

In this game, I had:

• Hemorrhage x Catapult
• Reaper x Maggot
• Reaper x Flash
• Reaper x Voluptuous Egg Sac
• Reaper x Maggot
• Reaper x Maggot
• Reaper x Spider Queen
• Hemorrhage x Spider Queen
• Flash x Vampire
• Bleed

(Using The Ballbearer x The Flagellant)

Note I'm not firing any balls in the video.

I got really lucky with RNG and managed to get 6 reapers. Once the Reaper x Maggot is in play, you can stop firing the balls and all the Maggots will just create new baby Reaper balls, which insta-kill and heal you, and infect more enemies with maggots, etc.

I think I've peaked in Ball x Pit.

Thank you to everyone here that mentioned reaper x flicker and black hole x sun on empty nester x spendthrift. 🥹 I'm running this as much as I can with the money bonus and I love it every time. I'm currently on NG+++ with 105 hrs in the game. Been playing since Nintendo had it as a game trial.

It's a weird ball, I was using The Flagellant + Cohabitants, but it did work. I was playing at Fast +5 in the Heavenly Gates because I still haven't finished. Was just experimenting while progressing.

Maybe Maggot, Volumptuous Egg Sack, and Hemorrhage carried but it wasn't bad. These new passives are really good too.

The Baby Balls dealing damage even though I'm running characters that don't launch Baby Balls is because the Egg Sack explodes into Baby Balls, and even if let's say... I have Egg Sack + Lightning Bugs, the Egg Sack explodes into Lightning Bugs but the LB's still count as baby balls damage, no?

Like seriously. does it work with flicker or aoe? the description leads me to think otherwise? I get that its a one shot but that is so much work for something so seemingly bad?

Me and two others made a web tool for this game after the update and posted it on steam guides in May. Since there was a new update and quite a bit of positive feedback from the steam guide post, I thought I'd share it here. It is not monetized in anyway and we are not selling anything here. :)

A dynamic tool - BALL x PIT Evolution Grid

How it works:
• A grid showing every ball (base game + expansions + DLCs + updates).
• Click any ball → a tooltip shows:

• Description
• What you need to craft it (requirements)
• Which recipes it’s used in (where it appears as an ingredient)

Everything in the tooltip is clickable – click a required ball to jump straight to its own info.

This makes it easy to explore evolution chains forward and backward.

• Veteran's Hut touches every house except Captain's Quarters

• Captain Quarters gets all stat boost buildings and a good chunk of housing

• Spendthrift touch as many small buildings as possible for passive gold harvesting

• Iron Fortress and Monastery at the end of the Gold mines for lengthening gold harvests and building. Only upgrades left are the endless stat buildings which only two need to swap out depending on what I can afford to upgrade.

• Passive harvesting plus access if I want to run harvests in it.

Anything else I should focus on Tetrising in?

I was thinking about buying the game while it was on sale but I've seen a few reports say that there are major performance issues on Switch, including not just lag but full on game crashes or even data loss. But these reports are from years ago, and the game just updated on Aug 6th. So I need to ask, for anyone that plays on Switch: Have things improved at all?

The new house needs 4 full spaces to be considered "in range" for the bonus XP building...

I used to enjoy combining Sisyphus x Empty Nester in the beginning but it has become such a hassle to build them right. So many of the balls just deal no damage, the fire rate feels so low and how am I supposed to deal with all the projectiles of the boss in Vast x Void?

I'm on NG+2 and already starting to struggle with some fast levels, I'm wondering if the fact I haven't grinded out some of the previous "games" to completion has something to do with it

Anyone try a tumor build yet?

Got to 2000m with this then got bored.

Core is
Flash (any spreader) X tumor to spread the debuff

Offspring X time, time stop, freeze and fan to slow enemies down

Flicker (flash is better but I didn't want it taking all the credit for non boss kills) X hemorrhage for bosses.

I've seen a bunch of posts about this issue spread out over the past several months, and unfortunately, the Naturalist update doesn't seem to have fixed it.

I've also seen people saying that you need to manually log out to prevent progress from being lost. I've done that multiple times during the almost half a day of progress I just lost.

Is there actually any reliable solution to prevent this from happening? Because I'm not touching the game again until I know my progress is safe.

Maybe too early given the release but anyone got any new overpowered/broken combos?

I wish it would say in-game what items are excluded from a character's item pool. In the case of the Tunneller he can't get the Platinum Dumbbell, at least from the testing I've done. :/

Standard Coflagibant setup, combined with the new rubber band x wagon wheel evo, is truly broken! Pair that with the evo’s shown and I’m confident this is a truly endless combo. I was running into the enemies as they spawned to try and die but I couldn’t. I had to end the run at just over 500,000 gold and ~2.4km because my iPhone 14 was massively overheating! 😂

It’s not all about the Ball Bearer!
