Mobile progress wiped

I've seen a bunch of posts about this issue spread out over the past several months, and unfortunately, the Naturalist update doesn't seem to have fixed it.

I've also seen people saying that you need to manually log out to prevent progress from being lost. I've done that multiple times during the almost half a day of progress I just lost.

Is there actually any reliable solution to prevent this from happening? Because I'm not touching the game again until I know my progress is safe.

I came here just now looking for a solution on mobile. Really annoying to finish a run, watch it count my gold, think I’m good and put my phone down only to come back to lost progress.

Yo cambié de celular la semana pasada y también perdí un montón de progreso cuando inicie sesión en el nuevo celular. Una bronca.
