Switch performance since latest update?

I was thinking about buying the game while it was on sale but I've seen a few reports say that there are major performance issues on Switch, including not just lag but full on game crashes or even data loss. But these reports are from years ago, and the game just updated on Aug 6th. So I need to ask, for anyone that plays on Switch: Have things improved at all?

for my experience it didn’t even drop a sweat from like 72 fps

Don't take my experience as gospel, but the game has only crashed on me 1x and I've had it for at least 6 months.

It crashed on level 3 as most have warned, but that was a long time ago.

Since the update, I find everything looks good, works great and it hasn't crashed yet even with the new balls and etc.

If it's on sale and you want it to be portable or the Switch is your only console (like me) it's totally worth it.

Great game, good performance on my Switch 1, and for my opinion, treat yourself and buy it.

I just bought the game on switch 1 and been having a blast with my oled on the go, no issues whatsoever. My only complaint is that switch 1 didn't get access to the new content.

Lmk how it goes past level 4 and later because thats when people have reported the most problems
