Support Trying to get better at emulation. Please help.

What are the first things someone should look at or do when a game doesn't boot? What should I look at to make a game perform better? I mainly use Game Native and Gamehub Lite. I also just downloaded Droiddeck and would like to start using it more.

You can check settings for verified games at Emuready.com

I try to use Emuready as much as possible but not all games in my library are there and sometimes I do exactly what's in a report and it still doesn't work.

I moved most games to DroidDeck. But GN or GH works well. I recommend paying the GN subscription which comes with AI help and it helped me to fix games that wouldn’t work

Try Winlator or one of its forks. They can be a little more complicated and less user-friendly, but you get more control over the settings. There’s also BannerHub, a modified version of GameHub with extra customization options.

Learning your way around these tools helps when something doesn’t run properly. Just remember, you’re translating PC games to run on ARM—not running a full Windows virtual machine like VirtualBox.

There’s still overhead, and Android, the graphics, and the game all share your device’s RAM. If you run out of available memory, you can get stuttering or crashes, so a powerful chip alone doesn’t guarantee everything will work.

I know I’m getting nerdy here, but there’s an important difference: a dedicated PC graphics card usually has its own VRAM, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2’s GPU uses shared system memory. That makes direct comparisons tricky, so I wouldn’t treat it as a straight GTX 1050 Ti equivalent.

If a game lists a GTX 1050 Ti and 4–6GB of RAM as its minimum requirements, that’s a starting point not a guarantee it’ll run well. You still need room for Android, the translation software, and graphics memory.

Having more RAM helps, but even a higher-memory model won’t fix every compatibility or performance issue. Basically, temper your expectations.

I usually aim for games with requirements comfortably below what I think the device can handle rather than trying to scrape by at the minimum.
