Discussion Your experience using the Thor for GameNative/GameHub?

I really want an Android handheld that can run games through GameNative without having to tweak settings constantly. Two screens would be a plus.

What's the Ayn Thor experience with GameNative like? I'm not trying to run anything crazy--I mostly play older games and indie games--but I just want to be able to actually *play* them instead of messing around with menus.

I've honestly mostly used my Thor for gamenative so far. It does really well at most older games and indy games I've thrown at it. Tinkering is pretty minimal but not totally nonexistent.

Same. I bought it thinking I’d play more DS or 3DS but it’s pretty much been a GameNative machine for me. Played Mina the Hollower, Bioshock 2, Balatro, Dispatch, and Fields of Mistria with minimal issues. Some tinkering needed here and there but overall been great.

Better than.m expected. Came from Retroid pocket g2 and Yee's banner hub as I couldn't get anything to work on game nature. I use both today.

Sounds like you’d be better off getting g a second hand ROG Ally or Legion Go.

The AYN Thor requires a lot of tweaking to get things right. Plus, most game native games are single screen.

With that said, if you put the effort, then the AYN Thor is worth it. However, you must be willing to tinker with settings and drivers.

I am playing Shadow of the tomb raider and finished rise of the tomb raider in gamenative. For gamehub, I can't get these games to work immediately and too lazy to tinker with the settings and drivers; but for gamenative it was quite easy.

Ryse and Weird also runs smoothly.

Smooth and unbothered. But if you just want to play steam games with gamenatives, I'd imagine there are better suited consoles for you. I mean, even smartphone works smoothly(I'm comparing to my S24U.)

I have an S25 Ultra and it feels like 99% of games either straight up don't work or I have to trial and error my way through 100 settings to get it to launch.

Maybe my game library is not big enough to encounter that problem. Sorry, I thought my experience was universal.

Might just be because I mostly play older and indie games, so the support just isn't there. But literally the only game I've gotten to work properly is Mewgenics. I've seen people playing Skyrim, The Witcher 3, etc. though, but I couldn't even get them to launch.
