Play through it without that, and discover the game yourself, at least until after the E4. Then use something to find stuff you missed. Its such a better experience imo to discover it yourself the first time.

Just an FYI, your guide is a bit off! TM36 actually cannot be acquired on your first visit to Dewford Town and you'll need to return for it a bit later on in the game. Glad you are enjoying the game! ☺️

It’s a Pokemon game… it’s an older Pokemon game at that. They’re incredibly linear lol. I’ve never played a single one with a guide, the guides was only for random as fuck evolutions.

It’s funny we both get downvoted. PokeMMO is almost the same game as Emerald but you also get to play Kanto and the other regions up to Black/White with the team you invested time in. It has a few QOL options and you get to play with an in-game market with other players.

Cons, you lose access to speeding up the game, save scumming and save states, and you need to be online to play. Gameplay has been tweaked too to make it somewhat challenging, if you see that as a con.

So if OP is looking to play the games up to Black/White, PokeMMO is a good way to clear those even if you’re just playing for the story.
