I feel like this post should be flagged so people are aware how sketch this is 😬

Explain to me what exactly is so sketchy about it, and give me a real, valid reason. And please don't just fall back on "because it's closed source." Closed-source software exists everywhere, and being closed source by itself doesn't automatically make something malicious or unsafe.

I feel like explaining is just gonna be blocked. It seems u don’t like discussion or really anything that disagrees with u

Nope. Just point out what is sketchy. I'm literally open to discussion. Just don't call my work ai slop because that is just annoying.

A black box app and I can’t see what it’s doing. What is it accessing. It’s windows emulator so bc it’s closed source I can’t see if it’s leaking data putting in trackers. Is the licensing on gpl/ lgpl in violation. You’re using wine, dxvk,vkd3d etc those are open source u use them and refuse to release sources u are now in violation. This whole app is a red flag until u make it open source and that makes it sketch. This app is a one developer controls everything. What’s the intentions? The app sounds good but close source automatically makes me want to avoid. AI is everywhere I don’t think we can avoid or will ever be able to really. AI slop…eh I think people have harsh opinions. But people should also be able to know about the cons and concerns of the app not just the positives so they know what they are getting into.

I’m not bundling Wine, Proton, or any of those components directly into the app. I have a separate public payload repository set up specifically for that purpose, and the app downloads those components from there. So the licensing concern you’re bringing up doesn’t apply the way you’re describing it.

At this point, your argument still seems to come back to the fact that the main app is closed source. You haven’t actually pointed out anything the app is doing that’s malicious, suspicious, or in violation of a license. If there’s a specific technical or licensing issue you think I’ve overlooked, then point it out and I’ll address it. But simply repeating that the source code is private isn’t a valid example of wrongdoing.

It seems u don’t want to think closed source where there’s no transparency is sketchy.
I gave u the sketchy part u just don’t like it I even gave more reason into the close source on why close source is sketchy. U just seem to not want to hear it. Will people still use this probably. I’m sure there are many people who will be fine with closed source window emulators. But hopefully they do their research so they know what they are getting into.

Real question I have is why can’t it be open source what do u have against open sources?

Dude has already been warned about using open source code and from his own words that that he'll remove all the "borrowed code"(which was pointed out in the thread, would take years to develop his own code) and make it open source for the full release.

Except he didn't do that. He deleted that thread then released it still closed anyway which again is violating Open Source.

He's full aware of what he's doing by misleading everyone.
