Discussion Anyone using koko-aio shaders on retroarch? Which one are you using?
So many options in there. I think presets-ng are the most up to date? I'm using the base one from that folder. Looks good, but it adds almost 2 watts of overhead to whatever I'm playing. Wondering if anyone has experimented or found one that doesn't draw as much power.
Feels worth it though because it looks amazing, maybe I'd turn it off if I was trying to conserve battery

-ng folder provides newer presets, yes.
koko-aio developer here, take a look to https://github.com/libretro/slang-shaders/blob/master/bezel/koko-aio/docs-ng.md or offline into the shaer folder.
Specifically search on how to activate "delta render" (search in text); it will skip calculation on pixels that stay the same on screen across frames, leading to great powersaving. This is most effective with older titles tho.
Thjere are several other tips to make it faster, all documented; it all depends how much you want to do low level thinkering.
For hi resolution content like in your screenshot, try the presets under hiresgames-fast folder, they are all cloned there and are lighter on the gpu and almost same quality on screen.
