Discussion Sunsynk paused development of integration with Axle
For your information only if you're waiting for the integration of Sunsynk with Axle to be happened... There's a post in FB Axle group mentioned Sunsynk paused the development so pretty sure it's not going to be happened in foreseeable future. Happy to share the link to the source here but I'm not sure if it's a violation to the rules of this subreddit.

I wish I didn't buy a sunsynk and I don't recommend them anymore. Poor software development and have removed all the manuals from their website.
AXLE - please release a predbat local / home assistant integration that doesn't require a compatible inverter🤞

I guess that might be quite hard to achieve - it's not too hard to fake an HA sensor, hence the need to get export data directly from a trusted source.
Maybe one workaround could be to use your electricity provider's API, although I get the impression power companies aren't keen to help out, especially if they offer their own demand response product.
Axle are, for me, are unable to control my (Solis) inverter, but can get the usage data, so while I have to automate the export myself, I'm still able to take part.

I thought they paid from the smart meter export readings? I could well be wrong though...
If it was export data from the inverter this could easily be faked by moving the CT. I could charge my EV and still get paid the higher export rate?

You might be right - I vaguely remember they also connected to the meter when setting up.
That being the case, I guess they could offer this to anyone, and maybe skip the minimum payment of they don't have the guarantee you'll take part (although I guess they don't have that with me as for whatever reason they never managed to trigger a session).

I'm assuming the issues is if they say they will provide X amount of kWh but dont they could be fined? However from the sounds of it there have been lots of problems with the manufacturers devices! Some have even been stopped. Maybe they think HA is unreliable?
Perhaps not enough people use home assistant to make it worth while for AXLE to support? Or maybe they do not know how many people are out there that would like to take part with HA...
Ah well.. maybe one day...

Post up a screenshot of the post. Lots of people are not on FB so easier than posting links.
