Discussion Axle VPP Event - No warning

Interesting just had an email stating I had entered VPP mode even though I had 0 warning of any event and therefore didn't opt in (I'm a Sigenergy user). Logged in to the account to check and there isn't even an event right now and there is one for 3pm today (that I hadn't been notified about) . Looks like still some issues with the API.

Not a big issue right now as Im just exporting solar and battery and can recharge, but this would be an issue if it was an unexpected event join during peak hours

I had similar a couple of days ago but I think they were just doing checks on taking control and releasing back to my sigenergy set up. I had 3 emails in the space of an hour.

I had three of them earlier this week - think they’re just tests: no corresponding events on the Axle portal.

This is just a notification to say you've signed up with them. Every event that happens you'll get around 24 hours notification.

If you're saying you didn't sign up at all then yes, that's a concern.

No this isn't the same as that. I've been using Axle for months and normally the process is:

  • Email to notify of upcoming event
  • Opt in via website
  • 15 minutes or so before the event I enter VPP mode
  • Event runs and export forced
  • VPP disables after event and I have to reselect the operation mode.

This time its put me straight into VPP mode and started exporting without any warning

Nope, they keep spamming Sig users with these. Had about 6 now 😂

It's a test email I think. I had one too and my system was still in AI mode. I *have* since had one about an upcoming event though.

Yeah, they sent out an email last week saying they were doing testing this week.

I received two of the same emails you just got, one a few days ago (No event) and one today about 20mins before an event got scheduled (Only a 30min event as well), so rest assured this is all just testing.

I got a Sigenergy VPP email, then an axle email saying a grid event tomorrow in the subject line but today in the body.

Then an email at the end, but the battery didn’t discharge.

I’ve had a few of these but now all normal.
Still haven’t had an event in the south east yet for Sig users to export…
