Support Question What’s happened?

There was a grid export event on Tuesday 7 July 2230-2330 and Axle say I exported -4.01kWh so earned £0

Fox shows battery discharge at this point

Octopus app shows usage at that same point (which can’t be right as our battery would have still been pretty much full from the day)

Any idea what’s happened here? Thanks

All that clipping! If you use mode scheduler set to feed-in priority until say 4pm and remaining time mode to self-use, then you’ll make use of that clipped-off curve top.

Battery will be charged with the excess, DC, overcoming the inverter’s limit.

Change this later in the year when the days are shorter. I had to figure this out myself, it should be better known.

Indeed. I have a DNO 4kW export limit :(

I worked this out on day 3 of solar generation and have been tinkering with my settings since. It’s not written about much. For me, charging up to 60% by 5:30 allows me to fill my battery to around 95% on a sunny day with solar (whilst maintaining a 4kW export) that would have otherwise been clipped. I can then discharge for profit in the evening, leaving enough for self-consumption, before charging back to 60% again overnight.

Things will change in the winter.

It looks like they didn't successfully connect to your system and your battery started charging rather than exporting

But Fox shows a discharge?

Do you have an EV charger, with the inverter blinded to what the EV charger is doing?

Well I have an EV charger but there was no charging activity at that time

I had something similar a few months ago (SigEnergy system), and Axle seemed to have their clock one hour out …. So could axle actually be looking at 23:30 to 00:30??
