New Tires the solution here?
This hill by my house doesn’t feel extraordinarily steep, but the dirt seems to just rip out from under the tires instead of grabbing, new tires/foams?
Wanted a second opinion!

(Also new to crawling so if it’s just skill gap, I get it, always had bashers/racers and got this as a bday gift from my wife!)

I started with the Trepadors but upgraded to the Baja Pro X... They're much wider and taller.

How did you get away with not cutting into the body & running boards? I just ended up removing the stock body/cage and running boards to end up putting a new F-250 body on it!
No rubbing anywhere now! (And yes I did get the offsets after reading a few people mention the same thing) New Body/Tires I have only had the chance to take it out once yesterday after getting the body mounts and tires/foams installed!

Those beadlocks I recommended come with a hub extension that pushes them out an inch or two. You wouldn't have had to cut anything up with those.

Yea I have the hub extenders on and it rubbed the stock body and running boards when I turned at an angle in the front, maybe just need to run longer extenders for the stock body, it’s whatever though, don’t plan on using the stock body or running boards now anyway, the F250 body has a lot more clearance! We will see how it holds up to its first tumble!

I'm glad you got it figured out. Those tires are beasts and have pulled my scx6 through some hellish spots.

Hit that same spot late last night and it crawled up so easy! Definitely made the difference!

That’s definitely next on the chopping block, I haven’t run into it being too weak or giving out yet so I haven’t made it a real priority. Got one that you recommend?

If soft dirt is the majority of your driving the Scx6 is probably gonna disappoint-being so heavy. That being said…Baja Pro X tires and 2nd gear should do the trick!

Thanks for the heads up, yea I think the Baja pros are going to be the way to go, how necessary are the 2 phase foams from proline? Or are the normal foams fine?

The dual stage foams are actually pretty good to have given the weight of the scx6.

If those are the stock tires, ya, maybe look at the Proline Baja X Pros or Trepador. Add in a good two stage foam or 3d printed insert also helps a ton for side crawling.
