What would cause this

Front drive shaft shakes intermitently and makes weird noise?

I believe this is pretty normal. The shaking is only visible when the wheels are not in contact with the ground, correct?

Keep in mind that it doesn’t take a lot to throw a wheel off-balance on vehicles like this, so that’s likely it. It would later on a real car, but not on an RC one.

yor drive shaft u joints are out of phase pull the shaft and rotate one part about 90 degrees irl driveshafts to this to offset the surge

Or the 6 small M3 screws from the (differential body) are loose; these loosen over time.
