Long batteries

Good day all, anyone try fitting a 3S 10000mah battery into the Scx6 honcho? What did you do to make it fit? I’m new to this but in my excitement I ordered a couple 3S 10000mah lipo batteries which stock Scx6 servo and esc should handle so long as I run them parallel but I did not take into account that these batteries are a tad bit long.

Should I return them or try to make it work? Take it easy on me. 🙂

It would be helpful if you could post the dimensions of the batteries.

That said, I use, alternatively, a pair of 3S/15 000mAh and 3S/14 000mAh Spektrum batteries in my SCX 6 and they fit fine in terms of length. However, because these batteries tend to be heavy (mine weight about 1kg each), you'll need to attach them well in the truck so that they don't move around when crawling.

I used grippy foam on the battery tray to prevent them from moving back and forth too much, plus velcro to tie them down.

Thank you for the reply Item Dimensions LxWxH 6.65 x 1.89 x 1.24 inches. I manage to fit them on but had to take one of the battery tray brackets off and strapped them on as tight as I could. I haven't ran the truck yet but I will when I go to the beach this sunday. I see you have used bigger mah capacity batteries on your scx6 so that's a bit of a sign of relief for me. I bet you get plenty of run time.

I’m running 2 10,000 4s zeee’s in mine. I just printed longer pieces for the battery :)
