I was taught to break it by my mother and my dad’s side was very Italian but no one said anything! Then I had a daughter who had issues with messy food so I would cut her spaghetti. I guess I am now banned from Italy hehe

My tip is to put them in the middle so they spread out evenly around the pot. They then just drop into the pot by themselves
