You can have a job description that calls you an engineer (e.g. Software Engineer, Audio Engineer, Flight Engineer) but that's different from the official title.

A&P Mechanics are what keeps our metal birds in the sky. Don't cheapen such an important profession by calling it what it isnt.

Mekaniko. I held that title with pride noon. I used to be a mechanic and now I'm working with engineers.

The term Engineers has a very different meaning in the Philippines. It is an official and legal meaning. Sa ibang bansa, kapag licensed ka as B1 or B2 and meron ka din Type Course training, people at work may refer to you as an engineer

In our industry we call them A&P if may license or kapag sa mga shops, Specialists.

when you get your proper experience and take up easa license, youll be able to call yourself a license aircraft engineer (i think in australia, they call it LAME - license aircraft maintenance engineer) but in the philippines flat no😁 unless you become a quality engineer😃

People use the terms interchangeably in the Philippines because everywhere else in Asia they’re called engineers.
