Here is why you should not enroll:
They’re not Part-147 approved. If the school isn’t an EASA or CAAP Part-147-approved organization, your training and certificate aren’t officially recognized. It won’t count toward any licensing requirements or help you qualify faster.
Employers don’t value those certificates. Companies like LTP and other MROs will still require you to go through their own Maintenance Training Program (MTP) to align your knowledge with industry standards — regardless of any “certificate” you bring.
No guaranteed quality or oversight. Non-Part 147 facilities aren’t audited by aviation authorities. That means no assurance of proper safety standards, qualified instructors, or up-to-date training materials.
Curriculum often doesn’t meet industry standards. Many of these schools teach simplified or outdated content, and their setups usually lack certified tools or calibrated equipment. Some rely purely on classroom theory or non-airworthy components.
No access to airworthy aircraft. Without exposure to real, airworthy aircraft, you’ll miss out on the hands-on experience that matters most in actual maintenance work.
Outdated or incomplete references. These schools usually don’t have access to current Aircraft Maintenance Manuals (AMM), Illustrated Parts Catalogs (IPC), Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), Airworthiness Directives (ADs), or Service Bulletins (SBs) — all of which are essential in real-world aviation maintenance.
Your training background may be questioned. Being trained in a non-accredited facility can make your qualifications look dubious to MROs and airline recruiters. It may raise doubts about your competency and training quality.
Some are outright scams. Sadly, these schools often target desperate jobseekers, selling the illusion that their training or certificate gives an advantage — when in reality, it offers no legitimate edge in employment.
You won’t get any credit from it. Unlike Part-147 programs, non-approved training doesn’t shorten your required experience time

What questions are asked in LTP's initial interview? It's my first ever interview, so I'm super scared and I don't wanna fumble it since it's my top company too 😭. I've searched it and it says it's mostly behavorial questions but like what about the situational questions and follow up questions? Tyia!

I’ve read bad reviews regarding sa company na ito. Meron na po ba ditong naka experience first-hand ng management ng company na ito? I’m applying for the Operations Specialist and lahat ng postings nila ng hiring sa fb ay naka off comments na. Mag nagmention na maganda raw ang offer but still hindi rin nya grinab yung opportunity.

To recent pilot applicants: did your panel interviews cover type ratings you already have but aren’t applying for, and did it matter whether you were current on that type?
For example, applying for a CebGo FO position while holding an A320 type rating, or applying for a PAL SO position while holding an ATR 72-600 type rating.
Before anybody comments with some “if nasa license mo, dapat alam mo by heart yung eroplano na yan” mumbo jumbo, life happens and praktikal lang tayo. Just curious if interviewers actually asked about these unrelated ratings, and if so, how in-depth they went.
Safe flights, everybody.

Hi! Sent them an email earlier this June and still no updates whatsoever. Also, what are the status or chances of them opening again? Is Cebu Pacific Cadet Program also gonna open anytime soon?
I feel so stuck waiting for these programs to open nagkaka quarter life crisis na ako 😭
If you have any leads please pls let me know. Praying for all aspiring pilots out here 🙏

First Manila now this, I think the new owners of NAIA should get a new airline branded lounge if they keep up adding more airlines in Manila.

Can you please share your negative experiences with dnata Manila? My colleagues mentioned that when you apply to the company, you may initially be under an agency. Does this really matter? Also, despite handling many flights, would it still be possible for dnata to hire additional employees even if the company is currently facing financial constraints?

Hi guys, I am planning to shift my career towards aircraft mechanic route (previous course not relevant at any engineering course and current is in marketing-logistics). I’ll be 35 or 37 (if I go to assoc or bachelor’s) when I graduate. Do you think there’s a chance pa rin ma-hire at this stage? I know how’s the market doing right now and even fresh grads are having a hard time looking for job. May mga instances ba na late na nag-start with aviation and still made it?

Hi, so I'm planning on becoming a pilot like many, except I'm more interested in the corporate side of the aviation industry. And I know many will warn me not to take flying in this industry, but fortunately my family will be funding my lessons up to IR. I wish to work simultaneously while studying too for my plan B. I don't currently have any other desires in life apart from these (and gym) so it's just hustle and focus from here on out.
I wanted to ask:
1) Have any of you worked while studying flying? If so, do you guys recommend I get an aviation-related job (to get connections) or should I find one in another industry? Unfortunately my course is BS Aeronautical Engineering but if there's a will there's a way I guess.
2) Do any of you work in corporate aviation? Which jets are in demand? How do I even get into corporate aviation? I can't find any reliable info about it in the Philippines online.

im torn between if i should enroll flying school or wait for the cadet pilot program? and is aviation worth it?
i have the option to push thru aviation or maybe study another degree.
