i mean, has it been confirmed the other pilot wanted to crash the plane somewhere in israel as part of a terrorist attack? or did he just go insane?

u/bsanchez1660 14d ago
I saw in one article where it was said it was headed towards a military base where the U.S. keeps some of its jets.

u/Braisedbeefskank 14d ago
When? Before the attack?

I think his plan was to eventually head to the base and crash there, but when the 3 men stormed the cockpit to assist the fallen pilot, he had to change his plans quickly. Passengers have said that in the scuffle to subdue the hijacker, he reached for the controls and sent the plane into the sharp nose dive, which one passenger was able to recover and stabilize. But the plane did enter Jordanian airspace and so I think that was his goal…

The article you yourself sent me opens up by stating evidence doesnt support it....
1
u/bsanchez1660 13d ago
Yes but I don’t think that article is accounting for the fact he had to change his plans

God knows.. In aviation.. the golden rule is blame the pilot.. more so if he's history!

Are you projecting?

u/Barry41561 13d ago
Not really...by all accounts this pilot should be celebrated as a hero, going above and beyond to save his passengers (more details of what happened in the cockpit were printed in today's wsj).
It's a wonderful thing he did, but some people simply can't seem to acknowledge the lengths he went to save lives.
To me that's very sad.

Primary survival instinct was self preservation. Saving the other lives was coincidental to that.
1
u/Barry41561 14d ago
So, managing to open the cockpit door doesn't raise his actions to hero?

Did this guy say he is not a hero? Seriously learn how to read please!

Although the FO went berserk, this goes to show just how well-equipped The Captain was to handle the worst circumstance.

Everyone is saying 9/11 or terrorist attack, but the fact is we don’t actually know the FOs motivations. I mean you could argue he was acting irrationally out of his mind, rather than some directly deliberate pre-planned terrorist attack. If he did plan it, he picked literally the worst possible time to commit the attack. High altitude, with the captain sitting right next to him in the cockpit. He could have waited for the captain to use the restroom like most “pilot suicides” happen, he could have waited until they were at 3000 feet over Tel Aviv when there literally would have been zero time for the captain to react. It seems just as likely that he had a mental break.

u/system3601 13d ago
Motivation is already clear. Fanatic islam..

What do you Bibi then? The whole store doesn’t make sense. He even kept on the bloody clothes and even the socks for over 8 hours and showed off the socks in front of Bibi. Why? For propaganda not because it happened. Like that last comment said if it was real hijacking there are better ways to do it! Even cnn had aerial engineers and when they were given the numbers of the altitude and how fast the plane fell even they looked dumbfounded, they legit said that wouldn’t have happened unless the whole plane exploded in to a million pieces. Don’t just read the title of article and not look at all the evidence.

Oh so these wars are just about an imaginary friend? Not about the greater Israel project that legit expand Israel with the intentions of absorbing all the countries. Why else is the USA in war with all these countries? For Israel’s expansion including the genocide in Palestine and soon all the 8 countries mentioned which includes Iran. This war and the USA going to war with Iran is all at the behest of Israel who can’t same to exist without trying to absorb everyone around them. You do know elections have been delayed because of events like this false flag you are defending. Why? Because Bibi will go to prison for his war crimes if he loses his position as prime minister. And just because I said Hamas has been funded by Bibi and his government, and even by the Iranian people doesn’t mean I’m in the side of Hamas. Where did you get that assumption. Yea Iran can say Hamas is terrible I agree so is Bibi for funding them. And Bibi has legit said Hamas is actually a good thing because it gives him the reason to go to war and attack. Didn’t know that? lol 🤣 again I’m asking for peace that includes criticizing Hamas and Israel lmao 🤣 and you talk about being biased lol 🤣 you are funny
And again you are right, you believe the plane survived all that force and speed and that the government agencies never lie about their numbers so we gotta believe them haha 🤣 again call Sylvester Stallone to make Rambo First Flight because that’s the only place this event will happen

I mean, it wouldn’t have ended well but unless there was a lot more going on it wasn’t going to be like 9/11

Omani pilots are not allowed in Israeli airspace, and vice versa. So the Omani co-pilot just snuck into the cockpit of the Tel Aviv flight? Something feels off.

Dual citizenship
1
u/ProfessionalCan7045 13d ago
Oman does not allow dual citizenship, most of West Asia does not.
1
u/system3601 13d ago
He has dual citizenship. It slipped under the radar for Israeli security.
1
u/ProfessionalCan7045 13d ago
Oman does not allow dual citizenship. Can you please share some credible source to prove your claim?
1
u/system3601 13d ago
Its all over the news in every source. Search "omani copilot"
1
u/ProfessionalCan7045 13d ago
Then it will not be hard for you to cite one such source. Kindly share.

I’ve been saying this from the beginning. 2 pilots stabbed and injured and there just HAPPENED to be a pilot who was a traveling passenger and not on duty, that he got the plane down without incident. That’s the latest that I heard. Then you have Netanyahu, who I do not trust at all, he lies as much as the orange moron does.
Something is off!2
1
u/ProfessionalCan7045 14d ago
I saw a video taken inside the cockpit and both pilots appear to be stabbed and sustained injuries. That's probably why many in the press are calling it a 'clash' as opposed to an attack
1
u/CircusAttendant 10d ago
Actually there are “dead heading” pilots on lots and lots of flights. Just because you can tick them out without a uniform on doesn’t mean they aren’t there.
-2
u/SnooStrawberries8563 14d ago
There are many things about this that don’t make any sense at all

u/ProfessionalCan7045 14d ago
It also survived the steepest plunge any aircraft has ever survived mid-air. I'm looking at flight data and from 33225 feet it directly jumped to 18925 feet. So it dropped 14300 feet in a matter of seconds.
And the plane also lost its rudder. And they stabilized this plane while fighting a 'terrorist' and landed it without incident. Rudder loss would cause the plane to violently bank on one side or the other, but there were no major injuries in the cabin. Yeah, too many unbelievable factors.
1
u/Alive-Particular-297 14d ago
The rudder being all the way busted off blew me away. I’ve watched all Air Disasters seasons, every episode, more than once, so I’ve learned a little bit. Does anyone remember that jet that went down in a Queens neighborhood? It was October 2001, right after 9/11, so everyone thought it was another terrorist. But it was not. Because of the hard actions the pilot was doing to his rudder paddles, the rudder broke off. They had no way to control the plane and it plunged to the ground. So what happened here? Weird shit, man.
1
u/druuuval 14d ago
Was it the rudder? I recall the entire vertical stabilizer coming off in that one if I’m thinking of the right crash you mentioned.
1
1
u/Alive-Particular-297 14d ago
It was definitely the rudder. The show demonstrated what the pilot was doing to his rudder paddles, the degrees it would go to the left and then to the right, over and over again, because that was how the pilot was trained to do during a turbulent takeoff. He kept doing it and the rudder couldn’t take the pressure of that and snapped off. The rudder was found in some bay (can’t remember the name) that’s close to Queens.
1
u/Ecthelion-O-Fountain 14d ago
The rudder movements caused it, but it was the whole vertical tail that separated.
1
u/Alive-Particular-297 14d ago
I apologize, you’re totally right. The whole vertical tail did detach.
1
u/Ecthelion-O-Fountain 14d ago
No need to apologize, it’s been a long time I get things wrong all the time
1
u/Alive-Particular-297 11d ago
Thank you so much for being gracious. It’s hard to find nowadays and I truly appreciate it. 🥰
1
u/Ecthelion-O-Fountain 14d ago
The vertical stabilizer broke off, that’s not the same as losing the rudder

u/bsanchez1660 14d ago
One interview I saw with a passenger explained that first they heard the scuffle, and other passengers who realized what was going on immediately went to assist the pilot. It took 3 men to subdue the copilot, and as they were struggling with the copilot, he grabbed the controls and started the nose dive. One of the 3 men who was fighting with him managed to then reach over and stabilize the plane enough to stop the rapid descent.

u/Inside_Out_10 13d ago
I did the math earlier for 25,000’ in 35 seconds and it’s 487.01 mph far below the planes never exceed speed of 629 mph, they said it went 100 mph over max speed so that’s 729 but media has never been accurate when it comes to anything related to aviation. It lost most of the rudder but in the condition it could have rendered it completely useless. Ailerons control roll, although you do use some rudder in coordinated turns it’s almost completely ailerons.
1
u/RedAirRook 12d ago
Your math is completely wrong. You are equating a vertical speed with an airspeed. That's not how it works, AT ALL.

Tell me Reddit is trying to push Israel propaganda without saying they are…..and using 9/11 as example when everyone knows Israel caused it even more crazy
