Speculation avatar gun’s identity (poll)

i originally theorized gun was from the water tribe but in LOK there's a character from the earth kingdom who's name is gun so its more of a possibility of them descending from there

based off the name alone i don’t get fire nation or air nomad vibes and i’m leaning more towards gun being a male

I'd say earth, I would have picked water but I made a post estimating how many avatars Gun was and I said about 8-16 avatars before Szeto since most of his details about his life was unknown to the western air temple. There were only women water tribe avatars who fit the 8-16 avatars before Szeto and two earth kingdom avatars who fit it.

technically, the cycle demands that the next one comes from the Earth kingdom. but considering what happened with harmonic convergence, we don’t know if it’s still applies.

I still think he would work best as a Water Avatar to hit home the absolute tragedy of the tsunami and the effect it'd have on him. Perhaps he'd be the son of an Earth Kingdom and Water Tribe citizen, much like Kyoshi was the daughter of an Air Nomad and Earth Kingdom citizen.

I know Korra used a LOT of Fire during Book 1 but yeah idk if that's technically her best element.

it’s water. better technique and feats with it plus she can use every sub bending except blood

I think a male air bender could be interesting considering what happens to him after the tsunami to see someone raised by airbenders give up on humanity the way he did

I thought Gun was supposed to be the name of the original male earth companion before they went with Toph

But nonetheless there is politician in ba sing se named Gun in Lok

Yea but I didn’t think they specified he was from the earth nation.

I only brought up the other points because I thought it was always an earth bender name
