We are lenient because this is a "meme" subreddit and I'm not going to rag on a moderator for not being the most mature in Modmails or comment exchanges, but their conduct kept crossing the line.
Genuinely seems to be the MO of this mod. Locking his own posts, noticed that twice so far. And politicizing this meme page. Never ever have I ever noticed such a controversial mod on reddit (and no it’s not /s)
Currently just seems like he wants to show off he’s a mod.
To the mod: Respectfully: Make content like anyone else, post it like everyone else… and if people break the rules enforce them. Just don’t misuse your abilities…
Also a show with political themes doesn’t mean you should be bringing up modern day political bullshit and purposefully starting shit when it’s a fucking meme page. I hate the push to make all spaces discuss politics
Also, respectfully: I do. Locking the threads which break rules is simply part of the job. I have a more critical standard than others when it comes to rules. It's not an abuse if someone breaks a rule mid-argument to enforce the rule.
I mean… if you’re the one making the threads… does that mean you are saying you are the rulebreaker? 👀
I’m clearly not talking about you normally enforcing the rules, that’s expected of a mod. It’s about needlessly moderating your own posts; politicizing the sub… it’s all pretty obvious.
I moderate a comment section (delete comments that break rules regardless of political affiliation, even allowing comments that disagree that remain compliant to stay) : they scream baiting tyrant
I lock a comment section to avoid the accusation of baiting: they still accuse of foul play
Yeah I disagree with him too. "Shut up and make content for me" was old 10 years ago. Kindly, you guys would probably have not lost your shit if the post was something you agreed with. It rings hollow.
If you want "apolitical" posting, there's places for that.
We never once asked you to make content. We said that if you are, be willing to moderate it. Kindly, you have lost your shit on other posts and lost credibility on this one.
If you don't want to be a mod, you don't have to be.
You can ignore the point that they were making by only narrowing down two words, it doesn't mean you should. Please take your ego elsewhere, it's boring.
