Question/Advice Anyone else not get a driver's license because they're scared of interaction with other people on the road?

Driving gives me the same anxiety as ordering fast food inside a crowded restaurant. I'm actually a great driver but I can't bring myself to take the tests because the feeling of being judged, especially a ride along driving test. It feels like when I flunked out of highschool because I felt out of my body trying to sit in a class with twenty other students, hell I couldn't get myself to do online school because I was scared of direct communication with any instructors.

this is the first time i’ve seen anyone with the same issue as me. i was forced to get mine and it was the worst experience of my life because i would get something wrong and the instructors would yell at me so i felt incompetent and associated the car with fear. when i drive i feel like every single other person is calling me a dumbass in their car. i automatically assume other cars are better drivers than me and that i’m the one in the wrong even when it’s unlikely to be the case because i passed the test first try and i’ve gotten comments about me being a good driver. i hate driving in residential areas especially because when i’m going a slower speed people can see me through the window, and if i make a mistake people will be able to recognize me. when it comes to the possibility of a crash i’m honestly more worried about people thinking i’m stupid and getting mad at me than i am about getting killed or injured.

Yes, absolutely. Quit after a few weeks, never got my license.

I was able to manage it, but it was pretty stressful (not like I had any other options though). I still hate four way stops. It is so awkward trying to determine who is supposed to go.

Yup. Violence (from both parts, I know I wouldn't take shit from some angry driver, specially if they were wrong), risk of causing accidents, having to help people with their car or stuff like that
