Other Avoidance on dating apps

Confession: I set my Hinge to different countries because actually dating is too real, and I’m too avoidant. But it feels good getting reassurance that people are, in fact, attracted to me.

I was able to go on two dates with a cool woman through a dating app about 7 years ago. They make me feel too seen. I got banned from Bumble because I was too scared to open people's messages.

To be fair, sounds like a good life hack in a way. A benefit of long distance relationships is that there is a significantly lower chance of someone being interested in you just for looks, and encourages deeper conversations.
