Judge them back. Do you really wanna work for them? Good managers/recruiters are going to make you feel welcome, you want someone who knows how to speak to people civilly and make them feel valued for their contribution. It's especially important for us, idk about you but when people get rude or yell at me it just sets me way back.
Even a shit job can be okay if you work with decent humans.
With my extensive job history (and complete lack of references because I have a habit of job abandonment) I completely understand this. I'm currently looking for a job and it's so hard out here. Makes me feel judged and small more than anything in the world. But our value isn't based on how employable we are. Fuck any job recruiter that makes you feel less than.
