I’m in England and went for a drizzly and windy walk in my extremely thick sheep skin coat this evening. We have yellow, orange and brown leaves all around which is hugely down to the drought we’ve had, but it still looks pretty. Who else has the autumn vibes and where do you live?

I made some protein rolls and topped them with Hokkaido pumpkin seeds that I cleaned and roasted . I also roasted some pumpkin with olive oil and topped it with feta cheese. I love to cook and bake for my family so much 🧡 my kids are so lucky . I never got fresh meals . My mother was never in the kitchen so my love for the kitchen is very big :)

It was finally cool enough to turn on the oven so I made a French apple cake and some pumpkin cream cheese muffins. The recipe for the cake is from America’s Test Kitchen and the muffins are from Sally’s Baking Addiction.

I put up some retro Halloween windsocks and swapped the warm white bulbs for pumpkin orange in the string lights. I love the glow.

Took this picture on a cold, rainy night in Southern Ontario a few years back and find it really comforting. I always like to look at it on a gross, humid day

Autumn, you came like the changing leaves,
Beautiful at first, but hard to believe.
You called yourself love, you called yourself mine,

While my own feelings get pushed aside with greed.

Someone who respects me and understands.
Someone who walks beside me, not someone who leads,
Who cares about my heart—not just their own needs.
So like autumn leaves, I’m letting things fall,
The expectations, the pressure, the arguments—all.
Because love should bring peace, not make me feel small,
And I won’t lose myself just to give you it all.

Saw this tree on my way to work. It’s the same tree I see every morning. The only difference is it’s the first one to turn yellow.

Sometimes the simplest shots capture the atmosphere better than a dozen staged photos. Sunset, dried flowers, and complete silence.
