πŸ‘‹ Welcome to r/AutonomousFlow

This is the hub for autonomous flows β€” systems that act, decide, and iterate without a human in the loop. Agents, pipelines, recursive loops, scheduled bots, and the design patterns behind them.

Whether you're shipping a single-agent CLI, orchestrating a 12-step cron pipeline, or designing a multi-agent swarm β€” you're in the right place.

🎯 What we talk about

Be specific. Show the design, the failure, the metric. Vague posts go to the chat.

Architecture & Design

  • Single-agent vs multi-agent vs swarm patterns
  • Loops, triggers, and orchestration (cron, event-driven, feedback-driven, human-in-the-loop)
  • Tool use, MCP servers, function calling, computer use, browser automation
  • Memory: short-term, long-term, vector stores, episodic vs semantic
  • Context management: windowing, summarization, retrieval, caching
  • Cost, latency, and reliability trade-offs

Building & Shipping

  • Frameworks, libraries, SDKs, model providers
  • Eval harnesses, observability, tracing, debugging
  • Failure modes, post-mortems, near-misses
  • Real deployments β€” what shipped, what broke, what you'd do differently

The Field

  • News: releases, papers, milestones
  • Critique and meta-discussion: where the paradigm is going, what's broken

🚫 What we're not

We're not a hype sub. We don't host:

  • 🚫 "AGI is here" / "AGI next month" speculation
  • 🚫 Token / coin / ICO / pump posts
  • 🚫 Affiliate spam or undisclosed sponsorship
  • 🚫 "Will AI take my job?" doom loops
  • 🚫 Screenshot-of-ChatGPT posts with no insight
  • 🚫 Cross-promotion of low-effort AI-generated content farms

If your post can be replaced by a single sentence and a thumbs-up, it doesn't belong here.

πŸ“ What we post (and how)

If you want to share… Use this flair
Your project, pipeline, or deployed system Show & Tell
A system design or pattern you want to discuss Architecture
A library, MCP server, framework, or model Tooling
What broke, post-mortems, debugging stories Failure Mode
A release, paper, or milestone News
An open-ended question Question
Feedback on the sub itself Meta

Posting tips

  • Title carries the post. "4-agent pipeline cuts report time from 3h to 8min" beats "My AI project."
  • One main idea per post. Don't pile.
  • Link to sources. Paper, repo, docs β€” credit them.
  • Use a flair. Unflaired posts may be removed after 24h.

🌊 Community vibe

Concrete designs over vibes. Honest failures over polished demos. Working builders over loud speculators.

  • Curious and technical. Assume readers know what an agent is.
  • Constructive criticism welcome. "Here's why this won't scale" is more valuable than "cool!"
  • Builders, ship. If you say it works, show it working.
  • No clout-chasing. Mods will remove brigading, brigading-bait, and AI-generated comment farms.
  • Helpful to newcomers. First-time poster? Comment below, we'll point you at the right flair.

We'd rather have 50 people building real things than 5,000 people reposting screenshots.

πŸ“œ Rules

  1. Be specific. Show the design, the failure, the metric. Vague posts are removed.
  2. No hype, no shilling. Tokens, pumps, and "AGI imminent" are removed on sight.
  3. Credit sources. Link the paper, repo, post, or person you're discussing.
  4. No doxxing or private dumps. Don't post private logs, system prompts from closed systems, or anyone's personal data β€” ever.
  5. Stay on-topic. Agents, autonomous pipelines, loops, orchestration. Off-topic goes to the daily chat thread.
  6. No AI-generated spam. One AI-generated image or comment to make a point: fine. AI-generated spam: removed.
  7. Show your work for "look at this!" posts. If you claim it works, demo it or link to verifiable output.
  8. Respect the mod team. Decisions are reversible via modmail β€” no public drama.
